Research On The Participation Of Wedding And Funeral Councils In Rural Governance

Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.The main contradictions in our society have been transformed.We should secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and a great modern socialist country.It is the strongest voice of the times.In this context,the rural revitalization strategy has become the general grasp of the work of the"three rural" in the new era.However,there is a certain gap between the scientific policy formulated by the country and the actual situation in rural areas.In the rural society,the phenomenon of "unreasonable banquet" and hosting extravagant wedding and funeral ceremonies are widespread.It is forming a bad atmosphere such as waste of extravagance and feudal superstition.It restricts the construction of beautiful villages and it becomes an important content of the rural governance.The "Wedding and Funeral Councils" as a rural social organization,was established for a relatively short period of time.But it plays an important role in rural governance.There must be the certain operation logic and influencing mechanisms behind it.This study draws on the ideas of the new institutionalist theory and social capital theory,with the"WFC" in the four villages of F county as the research object.Through the field work,the"Institutional environment-Wedding and Funeral Councils-Governance results" is an analysis framework to study and analyze the "WFC".This study attempts to answer the following questions:How was the "WFC" established?How is it possible for organizations to participate in rural governance?How do organizations to achieve operation and development?What roles do organizations play in rural governance?What kind of governance results have been achieved with the "WFC" developing.Through the observation and research of the "WFC",this paper focuses on these issues:the reasons for the establishment of the "WFC",the operational logic of the "WFC"to participate in rural governance,the influencing factors of the WFC's development,the governance results of the "WFC" and so on.On this basis,the following conclusions aredrawn:First,the"WFC" have been influenced by the realistic background and the institutional environment.It has produced in the tension between the two.Second,the"WFC" are influenced by the three factors in the process of participation in rural governance.The three factors are institutional environment,government intervention and social capital.The "WFC" follow the logics of power dependency,social exchange and human governance.It promotes the development of the "WFC".Third,the "WFC" have achieved relatively satisfactory governance results in the process of participation in governance.It plays an important role in building a multiple governance structure,building a rural civilization and promoting poverty alleviation.
