The middle school stage for students when learning physics is an important period for young people to discover scientific laws through experiments.The “New Curriculum Standards” states that the curriculum should pay more attention to allowing students to experience self-exploration,learn scientific knowledge and scientific inquiry methods,and improve their ability to analyze and solve problems.The quantity and quality of the experiments which the young people participate in will have effect on the efficiency of their inquiry study.However,what the school can provide is only the necessary experimental instruments and experimental environment required by the syllabus.The physical experiment inquiry learning effect of the student in junior high school is constrained with the limited experimental resources.Nowadays,information technology-assisted experimental teaching is developed rapidly promoted by the policy documents of our country and the trend of the times.NOBOOK virtual experiment is applied to middle school physical experiment teaching,which provides a new way for students to develop scientific inquiry ability.Therefore,it is very meaningful to study the inquiry teaching strategy supported by NOBOOK in middle school.Based on the related theory such as NOBOOK virtual experiment and enquiry teaching and teaching practice of physical experiment,the physical inquiry teaching activity supported by NOBOOK are designed and inquiry teaching strategy supported by NOBOOK are constructed with literature research method,questionnaire method,interview method,taking the physical exploration teaching activities of N School in Yantai as the research object.Then two rounds of action research are studied according to the teaching strategies.The first round of research is carried out according to the steps of action research and three dimensions of students,teachers and classroom teaching are observed.The problems existed in the process of teaching implementation are observed and analyzed.The teaching strategies are improved on the basis of literature review and consulting with experts.In the second round research problems are also observed and improved according to the improved strategies,which can verify the availability of the teaching strategies.Conclusions are drawn through two rounds of action research.Firstly the physicalinquiry teaching strategies supported by NOBOOK for middle school are helpful for the enquiry teaching activities.Secondly physical enquiry teaching strategies supported by NOBOOK achieve good effect in practical teaching.Thirdly the physical inquiry teaching strategy supported by NOBOOK is conducive to improve the inquiry ability of middle school students.
