A Study On Administrative Efficiency Of Colleges And Universities

With the continuous development of society and economy,more and more problems and disadvantages have emerged in the old administrative management mode of colleges and universities,and the old management mode and method cannot be adopted completely any longer.Therefore,in order to explore the way of college administration,and made some achievements,experts and scholars began to study the the de-administration management,administrative efficiency improvement and other issues.The thesis focuses on the overall development of colleges and universities,mainly studies the administrative effectiveness,by which improving the level of management,comprehensive ability,and then promoting the development of colleges and universities.The effectiveness of administrative management is different from the efficiency of administrative management.Efficiency refers to the amount of work done in a unit of time,while effectiveness is mainly considered from the strategic level,which refers to the efficiency of work and the ability to work.Effectiveness can be more comprehensively reflect the results of an organization's work.In other words,administrative effectiveness refers to the extent to which administrative activities achieve the desired results or impact.It includes many requirements,such as quantity,quality,effect,impact,capacity,public satisfaction and so on.Compared with the administrative efficiency,the administrative effectiveness refers to the degree of achievement of the goal,focusing on the quality level,and it emphasizes the effect,not just the time;not only the workload and the amount of input,but also the quality of service;not just the end result,but also quality assurance.Therefore,the study of administrative effectiveness is of great significance to the development of colleges and universities.The thesis takes literature research,questionnaire survey and interviewing as main research methods via giving the questionnaire survey and real situation interviewing to the teaching staffs of X.The questions of questionnaire and interview outline mainly focus on the nine standards of the efficiency of administrative management in colleges and universities including school development,leading group ability,school organization atmosphere,schoolmanagement theory,effectiveness of administrative work,teaching management,staff career development,performance appraisal work and supervision and management of administration.Through the analysis of survey data and interview results,the thesis will discuss the existing problems of the efficiency of administrative management in colleges and universities,and it will search for effective methods to improve the efficiency of administrative management in colleges and universities by analyzing the existing problems,which is based on the theories of organization,motivation and administrative efficiency supervision.At present,the main problems of administrative effectiveness in colleges and universities would reduce the administrative effectiveness,including the lag of administrative ideas,overlapping or empty of administrative departments,low quality of partial administrative personnel,unscientific performance appraisal mechanism,and out-of-date technical means of administrative management,belated and improper administrative supervision.The excessive on official standard restricts the administrative effectiveness;the weak service awareness of administrative personnel affects the exertion of administrative effectiveness;the narrow channel of promotion leads to the poor administrative effectiveness;the unscientific administrative management method influences the administrative execution;the poor innovation capability affects the administrative effectiveness promotion,all of the above are the primary reasons.According to the existing problems in administrative effectiveness,this thesis puts forward some countermeasures.It is necessary to search for a new idea of administrative management;make full use of advanced scientific technology;strengthen the comprehensive quality of administrative faculty;perfect the administrative system;clarify the duties and responsibilities of every administrative department;Through the foregoing countermeasures,the administrative effectiveness will be greatly improved,then the school will be highly appreciated by people.Further more,by which the development of the school in higher education will be faster and more effective.
