The ideological and political theory course is a course that every college student must study.Group work is a very common learning mode and learning organization in colleges and universities. This paper mainly studies whether there is a free-riding phenomenon in college students' Ideological and political theory course, its influencing factors and overcoming mechanisms.First of all,the study found that college students have free riders in the Ideological and political theory course study, which is easier in the case of large group, unorganized, lack of organization and planning,no division of labor, lack of communication, good personal relationships, and no goals. There is a free rider phenomenon.Secondly, this paper explores the influencing factors of free-riding phenomenon from Olsen's theory of collective action and Puten's theory of social capital. The study found that the factors affecting the free-riding phenomenon include group size and goals, individual gender, personality, motivation, group trust, reciprocity norms, group networks, and organizational forms. The larger the group size, the greater the probability of free-riding phenomenon;the clearer and more active the group goal is,the less chance that the free-riding phenomenon will occur;the individual's personality characteristics may affect the free-riding behavior;there are differences between the two sexes. In the group work, the boys are more likely to have free riders than the girls, and the chances are higher and the frequency is higher;the individual movements affect the free-riding behavior;the more the group members trust so far,the higher the level of trust, the cooperation The greater the possibility.Groups with higher levels of trust have a lower chance of free-riding;when there is universal reciprocity among team members, the chance of a free-rider phenomenon is small. The group network has a double-sided effect on free-riding behavior;groups with group leaders and reasonable division of labor and smooth communication generally have less free riders. Finally, this study starts from the influencing factors of the free-riding phenomenon, and seeks the solutions and methods of teachers, students and schools in order to overcome the free-riding phenomenon in the Ideological and political theory course.
