History is the objective existence and development process of human past society completely independent of people's consciousness.It consists of five parts:history,science,philosophy,humanity and time space.It is a basic subject and a social and humanities discipline.History is one of the oldest disciplines.Due to its professional limitations,only scholars who have received professional history education have studied it.It was not until the 1970s that the emergence of American public historiography broke the barrier of "elite research"in history.Historically,history has gradually entered the public's vision.Tracing the reasons for the emergence of public historiography can be summarized as two reasons.The first is inseparable from the employment crisis that emerged in the United States that year.Due to the excessive number of masters and doctoral students in history,and the narrow scope of employment,it has caused the difficulty of employment for history students.In order to alleviate the difficult employment crisis for graduate students in history,in 1978,Professor Robert Kelly and Professor Wesley Johnson of the University of California,Santa Barbara reformed the traditional old historiography and took the lead in integrating the concept of"public".In the traditional historiography,"public history"has evolved;the second is that the general public's demand for historical knowledge has been expanding,which has led to the innovation of traditional historiography.The historical dominance cannot be limited to professional historians.For these two reasons,public history has developed rapidly in the United States and continues to be circulated to other countries,such as the United Kingdom,France,and Germany.In recent years,public historiography has been developed and improved in China,and the Chinese indigenous elements have been evolved into "public history." Public historiography can be said to be a link between elite historiography and folk history.Public historiography has injected fresh blood into traditional historiography,transforming professional historiography into a more publicly accepted way to the public,and letting history go into the ordinary.The progress of the people's home is obvious.As a basic course in the humanities and social sciences,the middle school history curriculum bears the important task of spreading historical knowledge to students,shaping students'personality and forming students'feelings.It is of great significance to the overall development and lifelong development of students.However,due to its own limitations and its problems in specific teaching practices,it needs continuous reform and improvement.As a new form of historiography,public historiography,applying its relevant content and research methods to the teaching of middle school history will undoubtedly bring some professional enlightenment to the history teaching of middle school,which will bring new vitality to the history teaching of middle school.Based on this,the author decided to use literature research methods,case analysis methods,survey analysis methods and other methods to understand the background of public history and its development status,analyze and investigate the current status of middle school history education,and then analyze its theory and historical methods for today The impact of history teaching in middle school.And think about the feasibility and necessity of its application in middle school history teaching,and give reasonable suggestions for the application of public history in middle school history teaching through specific case practice.Based on this thinking,the basic structure of this paper is as follows:Introduction:Mainly introduces the reasons for the topic selection,research summary,research methods and innovations.The first chapter analyzes the feasibility and necessity of the application of public history to middle school history teaching.It is mainly elaborated from three aspects.The first section mainly describes the related concepts of public history.The first major point includes the background of public history,the development after the circulation to China,the connotation,the research object and its branches.The second point introduces the related concepts of public cultural heritage.The third point introduces the related concepts of public imaging history;the second section is mainly the feasibility analysis of the application of public history to middle school history teaching.First of all,it is due to the problems existing in the history teaching of middle school.Secondly,it is because the application of public historiography to middle school history teaching meets the requirements of curriculum standards and curriculum reform.Again,it is because public history provides a rich teaching resource for middle school history teaching.Finally,it is because the development of public history,in China is gradually mature;the third section is the analysis of the necessity of applying public history to the teaching of middle school history.First of all,the application of public history to middle school history teaching can promote the innovation of teaching content and teaching forms.Secondly,it can enhance students' historical literacy and participation awareness.Finally,the application of public historiography to middle school history teaching can balance the relationship between teachers and students.With the continuous development and improvement of public historiography,it has gradually entered the middle school history teaching from colleges and universities,and brings some inspirations and defects to the history teaching of middle school.The second chapter:mainly expounds the practice of the application of public history in the history teaching of middle school,which is mainly divided into three parts.The first section mainly analyzes the current situation of the application of public history in middle school history teaching.It is analyzed from the two aspects of the influence of American public history on American middle school history education and the influence of Chinese public history on China.The second section is based on the museum in the public cultural heritage,and the second grade of the seventh grade The 5th lesson"Bronze and Oracle"is a teaching design case to analyze the application of public history in the history teaching of middle school.The third section takes the history of public photography as an example,and the 14th lesson of the eighth grade of the People's Education Edition,"The Birth of the Chinese Communist Party"For the teaching design case,analyze the application of public history in middle school history teaching.The third chapter:taking the application of public cultural heritage and public image history in the history teaching of middle school as an example,points out the problems that should be paid attention to in the history teaching of public history and puts forward the author's suggestion.
