Purpose: To explore the effects of three different acute static passive stretching exercises on vascular elasticity and compare the effects of three different stretching methods on vascular elasticity. Methods: Design unilateral calf static stretching, unilateral thigh static stretching and bilateral alternating thigh static stretching test(An acute static stretching test, subjects underwent a passive calf stretching on one leg,six repetitions of 30-s static stretch with a 10-s recovery).39 healthy young subjects(male: 18,female: 21)volunteered for the three acute static stretching experiments with at least one week between each two experiments.Heart rate, blood pressure, and Cardio-Ankle vascular Index were measured immediately before,immediately,15 min,30 min,45 min,and 60 min after the stretching to assess changes in arterial stiffness.Result: 1)From the front and back of the stretching, the three static stretching tests immediately after stretching and 15 min,the male-female left and right Cardio-Ankle vascular Index were significantly reduced(p<0.05);After 30 minutes and 45 minutes of stretching, the unilateral thigh stretching and the bilateral alternating thigh stretching showed a significant decrease in the Cardio-Ankle vascular Index(p<0.05),and recovered to base value 60 minutes after stretching(p>0.05).2)Comparison of the three stretching methods at the same time point showed that there was no significant difference in the Cardio-Ankle vascular Index between boys and girls before stretching(p>0.05).Immediately after stretching and 15 min,the malefemale unilateral thigh stretching mode and the bilateral alternating thigh stretching mode of the Cardio-Ankle vascular Index were significantly lower than the unilateral calf stretching mode(p<0.05);The Cardio-Ankle vascular Index of the alternating thigh stretch was significantly lower than that of the one-sided calf stretch and the one-sided thigh stretch(p<0.05).3)Comparative analysis of the three time points of each stretching method showed that the Cardio-Ankle vascular Index was significantly lower than the other time points immediately after stretching and 15 min(p<0.05).Conclusion: 1)Static stretching exercise can reduce arterial stiffness and increase vascular elasticity. The unilateral calf stretching method improved the vascular elasticity effect by about 15 minutes, and the thigh static stretching method was maintained at 30 minutes to 45 minutes.2)The effect of three different static stretching methods on the improvement of vascular elasticity, whether the effect of improving the vascular elasticity of boys or girls is the bilateral alternating thigh static stretching mode > unilateral thigh static stretching mode > Unilateral calf static stretching method.3)In the one-side stretching exercise, the elasticity of the blood vessels on both the stretched side and the unstretched side is improved after the stretching exercise, but the effect of improving the elasticity of the blood vessels on the side of the god is more obvious.
