With the people's increasing attention to education and the increasing demand for high-quality education,the importance of family education has gradually been accepted by the public.Home-school cooperation has become a new mode of education,which has aroused heated discussion in society.Parents' participation in school management,as one of the six common types of practice in home-school cooperation,can effectively alleviate the contradiction between home and school and promote the formation of family-school cooperative and co-education relationship.Its practice in western developed countries has tended to be perfect,but due to the late start of China and other reasons,its implementation is more difficult than other practices.Parents' participation in school management is the inevitable trend of exploring the establishment of modern school system in China,the inevitable result of the transformation of the sense of competition in school services,and the powerful guarantee of family protection for students' growth.Through this study,we hope to provide a reference for the promulgation of relevant laws and regulations,as well as support for the scientific and democratic decision-making of schools,and ultimately promote the participation of parents in school management.Through collating and analyzing a large number of relevant literature,and conducting questionnaires and interviews with four primary schools in Yueyang City,we can understand the plight of parents in participating in school management and supervision in the cooperation between family and school,which is the relationship between family and school that seems divine;the popularity of family Committee organizations in primary schools in Yueyang City is expanding,but the implementation of basic responsibilities is not in place;parents' enthusiasm for participating in school management is high,but lacks.There are no effective channels.According to the above predicament,parents' limited participation in school management is mainly due to three main reasons: the change of educational ideas,the imperfect operation mechanism of the family committee,and the single way of parents' participation.Based on the concept of school-based management,this paper puts forward three practical suggestions on promoting parents' participation in school management.Changing the traditional narrow "education is school education" concept of "small education" to "equality,cooperation and co-education" concept of "big education";putting forward the proposals of consensus,democratic selection and organizational neutrality for the improvement of the effective operation mechanism of the Family Committee,and putting forward eight specific operational suggestionson the constitution construction of the Family Committee operation;The key person of the policy is to propose that the principal should enhance the degree of specialization,treat school management with a development perspective,develop school-based management,expand participation channels for parents to participate in school management,and innovate ways of participation.
