The power of talents cannot be neglected in social development.In order to explore the growth law of talents,the paper selects students from Oberlin Shansi Memorial School as the research object,and from the micro-perspective of students' life history to examines three aspects of students' daily life,study life and practical activities so as to enlightening today's secondary education.Oberlin Shansi Memorial School has experienced three stages over past 30 years(1907-1937)from establishment,rapid development and transformation.Each stage has its own characteristics and main contradictions.However,the School-running Concepts formed at the beginning of establishment have never changed.Under the nourishment and infiltration of school education,students had gradually formed a lofty ambition to serve the society.They studied hard in school and actively participated in social practice.After graduation,they all choose the most urgently needed career as their own research or employment direction,and contribute their strength to social progress.Their values are gradually formed in school life.Oberlin Shansi Memorial School moved to Mengjia Garden in 1909 and built a foreign building on this basis,forming the style combining Chinese-Western campus.Because the school is located in the village,which far away from the downtown,students consumption is not high,therefore,students can concentrate on their research.Meanwhile,the superior material living conditions also enable students to focus more on spiritual improvement.In their spare time,students relax themselves by watching movies,listening to music and participating in sports activities.Their daily life is colorful.Classroom life is the core of students' campus life,the serious and rigorous teaching attitude of teachers has the same far-profound impact on the growth of students.The school's strict examination system let students develop good study habits in peacetime,so that students can deal with many large-scale examinations calmly and achieve excellent results.Practice life is also an important part of students' study life.The school set up factories for students' practice,and led students to observe teaching behavior,which well-trained students' practical ability and enhanced their ability in society.In addition,listening to lecture is also an important way for students to learn.It can help students understand the social situation and form a good interaction with society.In addition to studying life,practical life is rich and colorful,community activities in the school provides students with a platform to exercise themselves and lays a solid foundation for their future social development.The social service activities and political activities carried out outside the school fully reflect the students' concern for the country and society,and have reflected the schools' purpose of “Learning for Service”.
