Exercises system is an important part of the geography textbooks,which plays an important role in detecting students' learning effects and cultivating students'abilities.Especially in the context of the development trend of education at home and abroad and the new high school geography textbook has not been enacted,the integration of geography core literacy concept into geography teaching materials has become the focus of attention,so how to design and write the new curriculum concept should also become the research focus.However,the research of the current exercises system mainly focuses on its design principles and functions,and there are few studies on the micro-levels such as the number and type of exercises.This paper analyzes the exercises system of Chinese and American high school physical geography teaching materials through literature research method,comparative method and data statistics method,and provides ideas and inspiration for the setting of new textbook exercises in the context of geographical core literacy.The study consists of six parts:The first part is an introduction.Firstly,it introduces the background and significance of the comparative study of Chinese and American textbooks on physical geography.Then it analyzes and reviews the research status at home and abroad through the literature research method,and finally determines the research objectives,contents and methods,designs the research route and introduces the characteristics of this paper.The second part is mainly the definition and theoretical basis of related concepts.Firstly,through the literature research method,the connotation and composition of the textbook system,the working system and the exercises system are introduced and defined.Secondly,the theoretical basis of this research,including constructivist learning theory,multiple intelligence theory,system theory,Dewey and Tao Xingzhi's "from middle school" thinking and the basic concepts of geography curriculum reform in the new era.The third part is a comparison of Chinese and American geography exercises system.It mainly compares the structure of teaching materials,the textbook exercises,the types of exercises system,the number of exercises system,the difficulty and the characteristics.The method used is mainly the combination of quantitative and quantitative analysis,and summarizes the similarities and differences between the two versions of the exercises system.The fourth part is the suggestion part of the setting of the PEP textbook exercises.It mainly aims at the similarities and differences in the compilation and design of the two versions of the textbooks in the previous part,and provides some ideas and reference for the setting of high school geography textbooks in the context of geography core literacy training.The fifth part is the conclusion and outlook.Including research conclusions.thinking about high school geography exercises system and prospects.
