Why are the grades of secondary vocational students not ideal because of their lack of self-control or because of the negative academic emotions caused by recurrent academic failure that hinder learning?Or are there two factors?Based on these problems,according to the control-value theory of academic emotion,this paper carries out two studies on the status quo of self-control,academic emotion,academic achievement and the relationship between the three variables.The students were investigated with the self-control ability questionnaire of middle school students and the academic emotion questionnaire of teenagers,the total score of T score in the three subjects of the final examination were used as the basis of academic achievement,and the statistical analysis of the data was carried out by SPSS.24.A total of 292 persons were effectively tested,with an average age of 16 years and a standard deviation of 1.046.The results showed that:(1)There is no significant difference in grade and gender between secondary vocational students'self-control ability.(2)Students in the two or three grade of secondary vocational students experienced higher feelings of helplessness than in the first grade.Girls experience more pleasure,negative high awakening(anxiety,anger),and depressed academic mood than boys.Different majors show significant differences only in helplessness.(3)The dimensions of self-control ability of secondary vocational students are positively correlated with academic achievement.There was a significant positive correlation between academic achievement and positive high awakening,positive low awakening,significant negative correlation between academic achievement and negative low awakening,and no significant correlation between academic achievement and negative high awakening.(4)There was a significant correlation between the dimensions of self-control and the dimensions of academic emotion,in addition to the significant correlation between positive high awakening and emotional self-control.Self-control had a significant positive effect on positive high awakening,positive low awakening academic emotion,and self-control had a significant negative effect relationship on negative high awakening and negative low awakening academic emotion.(5)Positive high awakening,positive low awakening,negative low awakening academic emotion has a partial intermediary effect between self-control and academic achievement.This shows that both self-control ability and academic emotion have a great influence on the learning of secondary vocational students,and in the education and teaching work of secondary vocational students,we should pay attention to improving students'self-control ability,emotional adjustment ability and cultivating students 'positive academic emotion(especially pay attention to the academic emotion of senior students and girls)in order to promote students' learning.
