Composition teaching is an integral part of Chinese teaching in middle school,and in traditional composition teaching,Chinese teachers have to spend a lot of time and energy.That being said,students' capacity of writing is still under satisfaction.Rapid development of high-tech technology has brought about network communication and other new technologies,which has exerted an impact on people's daily life,and also lead to the era of new media.Under this background,the combination of new media and composition teaching in middle school becomes irreversible.Teaching contents and methods of composition teaching via new media is totally different from traditional one,therefore,a bright future of traditional composition teaching is in prospect.Besides a new look in teaching objectives,contents,modes,many issues still can be found in composition teaching of middle school in new media era.With the adoption of literature research method,questionnaire method and other research techniques,this thesis,based on theories of constructivism and humanism,studies current condition of composition teaching in middle school.According to the research,new media has aroused students' interest in writing,enriched their writing materials and generated other positive effects on composition teaching in middle school.However,negative impacts brought by new media exist also,for instance,high frequency of writing errors out of misuses of cyberwords,accidents of plagerism and medley,and the absence of rigorous attitudes in students' composition writing.The author has put forward with solutions to address issues in middle school composition teaching in new media era.Firstly,teachers should regulate students' writing language to improve writing quality;secondly,teachers should encourage students to do more reading and foster a right and valid view of writing so that plagerism and medley generated by the convenience of internet can be addressed;thirdly,various methods should be applied to improve teachers' limited expertise and improper utilization of new media.What's more,investment should be strengthened in improving underdeveloped hardware infrastructure devices.On the basis of practice,this thesis will conduct theoretical conclusion and innovation on research findings obtained by questionnaires and interviews so that more significance and values can be present in this task.In conclusion,many issues would be conquered in the development of new media composition teaching by resorting to new media,an emerging item.We have to confront issues in front of us,analyzed their causes and propose relative solutions so that teaching efficiency and students' writing skills in middle school can all be enhanced under the background of new media.
