Orthographic awareness is an important component of meta-linguistic awareness.It refers to Chinese children's understanding of orthographic rules of Chinese characters,including the understanding of Chinese characters' strokes,components and characters.It plays a unique role in the development of children's reading ability.The development of children's early reading ability is closely related to family reading environment.Studying the relationship between the development of children's orthographic awareness and family reading environment in large and medium-sized classes will help to clarify the relationship between the development of children's orthographic awareness and family reading environment,understand the characteristics and influencing factors of children's orthographic awareness development,and provide some suggestions and guidance for early childhood educators and parents.In this study,150 children in a kindergarten in Tianjin were selected as the subjects,and the family reading environment questionnaire was sent to their parents to fill iin.Through the vocabulary judgment task of 11 kinds of stimuli violating the literal consciousness,the development level of orthographic consciousness of children in larse,middle and small classes was measured.and the collected data were collated and analyzed.The results show that:(1)before fomial school education,orthographic awareness of children in larse,middle and small classes has sprouted and developed,and the different dimensions of orthographic awareness are difrerent in different classes,that is.the development of orthographic awareness of children in different stages;(2)the development of orthographic awareness of children in large,medium and small classes is significantly related to family reading environment.Different aspects of children's orthographic awareness development are positively correlated with different dimensions of family reading environment.The development of children's shape rule awareness is affected by two aspects:parent-child reading quality and parent-child reading environment creation in family reading environment.That is,parents pay more attention to parent-child reading quality and parent-child readins environment creation,and children's distinction level of graffiti,pictures and Chinese characters.Higher;2)The development of children's sense of spatial arrangement rules is also influenced by the creation of parent-child reading environment;3)The development of orthography in children's oithosraphic awareness is influenced by the concept of parent-child reading and the creation of parent-child reading environment.Therefore,in promoting the development of children's orthographic awareness and improving children's reading ability,parents should recognize that parent-child reading plays an important role in children's growth and development,and actively create a good family reading environment to improve the quality of parent-child reading throueh various methods.(3)The development level of orthographic awareness of children in large,medium and small classes is not affected by the number of parent-child reading,that is,the age at the beeinning of reading,the length of reading the amount of reading,the number of books and other factors have little influence on the development of children's orthographic awareness.
