The objective phenomena are the root of physics. In modern middle schools, physics exercises are often used in physics teaching, which constantly cultivates students' ability to take exams and ignores the fundamentals of physics. This leads to a series of drawbacks and becomes more and more serious.Primitive physics problems and Fermi problems play an important role in physics teaching. Both of them are based on objective phenomena and are closely related to real life. They play an important role in cultivating students' core qualities in physics and their ability to solve practical problems. It is of great significance for physics teachers to study the ways of thinking and solving the primitive physics problems and Fermi problems faced by senior high school students. On the basis of the existing theoretical and empirical research at home and abroad, this study combs and summarizes the literature, explores the relevant contents of the original physics and Fermi problems from the previous theoretical results, combines the characteristics of physics discipline, draws lessons from the existing research methods, and compiles the original physics problems with good reliability and validity on the basis of the research results of the teaching of the original physics problems. The Fermi Questionnaire was adapted according to the experts' opinions. This test chooses two classes of students in a high school. The paper-pencil test is used to test the students. The existing scoring criteria are used to score the students'answers. The results are analyzed and compared.Relevant conclusions are drawn and teaching suggestions are put forward. The two problems focus on different aspects. The original physical problems emphasize the abstract analysis of objective phenomena, while the Fermi problems focus more on the order of magnitude estimation. The test results show that the scores of senior high school students in solving original physics problems are slightly higher than those of Fermi questions, but there is no significant difference between them and their ability level is generally low.By further comparing the test papers,it is found that the high school students' ability of hypothesis estimation is higher than that of modeling, but there is no significant difference in the use of physical laws and methods in solving the two kinds of questions.Statistical test results show that there is no significant difference between male and female students in solving the two kinds of questions, but the level of problem-solving ability of high school students with excellent physical performance is significantly higher than that of high school students with average physical performance, which indirectly shows that science performance has a certain influence on the ability to solve the two kinds of problems. Finally, this study summarizes and reflects on the shortcomings of the study, and hopes to be able to use the original physics problem and Fermi problem in the practice of physics teaching, and more in-depth comparative analysis of the differences between the two problems.
