Singapore is a small country with limit resource,but in the 50 years after independence,it has leaped into the ranks of developed countries,known as the “Singapore miracle” by the world.Singapore's economic rise and rapid development depend entirely on the ingenuity of its own people,which is inextricably linked to its education,and the streaming policy is the cornerstone of Singapore's education.This thesis studies the historical background and evolution of Singapore's educational streaming policy by means of literature research,comparative analysis,etc.,and analyzes the factors that promote the emergence and development of Singapore's education streaming policy from the aspects of history,economy,politics,culture and natural conditions.According to the form of streaming,the education streaming can be divided into intra-school streaming and inter-school streaming.At present,the implementation of basic education in China is mainly inter-school diversion,namely,the secondary school entrance examination and the university entrance examination.However,when students enter different schools according to their graduation scores,all students still use the same level of textbooks and use the same curriculum standards for learning,rather than the ability,speed,hobbies,or a certain aspect of talent for their future development of the curriculum as a standard.The present curriculum in China is "one side of a thousand schools".Students can not choose their own curriculum according to their own abilities and interests.Singapore implements the streaming of education policy in basic education stage of the country.It has both intra-school and inter-school streaming.Students enter different levels of schools according to their school leaving results.After entering the school,students are streamed according to their academic achievements,abilities and future development directions,and then differentiated instruction for the students after the streaming.The streaming policy not only differentiates students' training target and future development plans,but also implements stratified education in terms of curriculum design and difficulty level,and adheres to the teaching philosophy of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude,so that every student can get the most suitable development for himself.In order to achieve the highest level of education – Letting everybody fully display his talents.The main part of this thesis mainly studies the setting of the basic education curriculum under the Singapore education streaming policy,including the curriculum target,curriculum structure and content,class period and assessment methods,and also the inter-school and inter-school streaming policy in primary,secondary and post-secondary education.Last but not the least,it focuses on the enlightenment of the curriculum setting under the Singapore education streaming policy to China's streaming education and curriculum studies.It is hope that the characteristics of the basic curriculum under the concept of streaming policy in Singapore and the emphasis on the curriculum concept that promote the development of students' personality can provide some reference and reference value for the reform of the basic education curriculum setting that is being carried out in China,and realize the blueprint of the curriculum as soon as possible.
