Practical text reading teaching is an important part of Chinese reading teaching in senior high school.In the newly issued Chinese Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition),"practical reading and communication" appears as an independent learning task group,and practical text reading teaching is placed in a prominent position.After sorting out relevant research materials and conducting in-depth teaching frontline research,the author finds that there are still some problems in the current teaching practice of practical text reading in senior high schools,including that the teaching objective of practical text is simple and utilitarian,the content of practical text teaching is blurred and knowledge-based,practical text teaching method is simplified and modeled and so on,although the academic circles and the front-line education circles have already realized the necessity and importance of practical text reading.Faced with this teaching dilemma,the author conducts a study with the promulgation of new curriculum standards as the research background,and the teaching of practical text reading in senior high schools as the research object,hoping to provide new ideas for the teaching practice of practical text reading teaching practice in Senior High Schools under the background of core literacy.Firstly,this paper clarifies the concept of "practical text" from the perspective of connotation and extension,and further subdivides the practical text on this basis,clarifies the various sub-categories of practical text and the various styles it contains.After concretely analyzing the common and individual characteristics of practical texts,this paper explores the teaching value of practical texts reading in four aspects:helping students adapt to modern social life,enriching the style of reading teaching,comprehensively improving reading ability,and comprehensively improving language literacy.In order to grasp the current situation of practical text reading teaching in senior high schools and make the research take root in reality,the author selected three representative senior high schools to conduct research.Through attending classes,participating in lesson preparation,after-class interviews,and listening to open classes,the author finds gratifying changes in practical writing teaching.At the same time,the author also notices that there are still some areas to be improved,such as superficial teaching objectives,utilitarianism,obscurity of teaching content,knowledge,simplification of teaching methods,and so on.These are not only related to objective factors such as contradictory attributes of practical texts and lack of guidance of curriculum standards,but also to subjective factors such as inadequate understanding of practical texts by teachers.On the basis of digging out the teaching value and clarifying the present situation of teaching,the author compares the similarities and differences between the two versions of curriculum standards firom the perspectives of curriculum standards and examination methods,and obtains the direction guidance of curriculum standards in four aspects:strengthening stylistic awareness,paying attention to speech practice,attaching importance to situational creation and emphasizing relational learning;combing out the true questions of recent examination syllabus and the college entrance examinations over the years.To clarify the practical requirements of examination methods in four aspects:expanding reading horizons,strengthening related reading,cultivating higher-level ability,and giving consideration to forn and content.After grasping the trend of practical text reading teaching in senior high school,the author combines specific teaching cases,according to the way of "theory guidance+lesson illustration,,respectively discusses three kinds of practical text reading teaching practices of senior high school under the new curriculum standard,namely,inproving examination ability,adapting to social life and improving language literacy,in order to maximize the value of practical text reading teaching.
