Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Humanities And Social Development In Science And Technology Universities

Humanities and social sciences are the general name of humanities and social sciences.They are a relatively independent knowledge system and also a value system.They are an overview of human world outlook and values.The development of humanities and social sciences in science and technology colleges and universities can effectively strengthen their educational strength and scientific research level,cultivate outstanding talents with comprehensive quality,and build them into comprehensive universities and research universities.With the merger of colleges and universities in the 1990 s,science and technology colleges and universities have set up corresponding disciplines and specialities in humanities and social sciences and set up humanities and social sciences departments in an effort to develop into comprehensive universities.Since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC,General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to the humanities and social sciences,pointing out that "efforts should be made to build philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics".However,China's science and technology colleges and universities have a short time to develop humanities and social sciences.At present,only a few colleges and universities have achieved remarkable development.The overall level of humanities and social sciences in colleges and universities is still not high.The development of humanities and social sciences still has a long way to go.Therefore,science and technology colleges and universities in our country urgently need to implement scientific and effective methods to solve the problems so as to make the humanities and social sciences develop continuously and innovatively.This research mainly adopts the literature method and the case study method.On the basis of reading a large number of documents,this paper explores the research background and development significance of humanities and social sciences as well as the research results of domestic and foreign scholars on the construction and development of humanities and social sciences.The reference object of this paper is several science and technology universities at home and abroad that have developed humanities and social sciences for a long time and have a certain scale system.This paper summarizes the paths and methods of these universities in developing humanities and social sciences,and explores their practical experience in developing humanities and social sciences,providing reference and reference value for the development of humanities and social sciences in science and technology universities in China.Through comparative analysis and data analysis of typical cases,the main problems existing in the development of humanities and social sciences in colleges and universities are found out from the relevant management policies implemented by the schools,the distribution of colleges in the schools.The main problems are that the schools do not attach enough importance to attracting high-quality students,the humanities and social sciences have a short development time,their development is not yet mature,there are no leaders and subject groups in humanities and social sciences,the humanities and cultural atmosphere is not strong,and teachers in humanities and social sciences have problems such as emphasizing teaching and neglecting scientific research.The innovation of this paper lies in putting forward practical countermeasures based on examples to promote the development of humanities and social sciences in science and technology colleges and universities: small and precise scale setting,rational scientific research evaluation,and diversified training objectives;Efforts should be made to introduce leaders in humanities and social sciences,set up new interdisciplinary disciplines with special features,and build disciplines of humanities and social sciences.To create a humanistic and cultural atmosphere on campus,to build a humanities and social sciences laboratory,to build a scientific research platform for humanities and social sciences,etc.
