Research On The Current Status Of Biological Error Management Among Senior One Students

The biology course requires students to participate actively in learning which was pointed out in Biology Curriculum Standard for Senior High School.In the process of asking questions,obtaining information,searching for evidence,testing assumptions,discovering laws and so on,we can acquire biological knowledge,cultivate the habit of scientific thinking,form a positive scientific attitude,and develop the ability of lifelong learning and innovative practice.Biological error management is a process in which students discover problems,analyze reasons,summarize test points,reflect on themselves and summarize rules.It is an efficient learning strategy,which can help students reduce burdens and increase efficiency.By understanding the current situation of students' biology error management,we can help students understand themselves,clear differences,improve learning efficiency,help teachers adjust teaching strategies,manage students pertinently and improve teaching effect.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 310 senior high school students in Chengdu to investigate the current situation of biology error management.Meanwhile,the effect of the systematic biological error management training on the score of test was explored by experiment.The results showed as follows:(1)The overall situation of the management of biology errors in the first year of senior high school students is better.The average score of students in biological error management was 3.283.The average score of biological error management concept was 3.855;the average score of biological error management attitude was 2.944;the average score of biological error management behavior was 2.977;and the average score of biological error management strategy was 3.762.(2)There were no significant differences(P>0.05)in the overall level of biological error management among students of different origins.However,the average score of the urban students was significantly higher than that of the rural students in the strategy of biological error management significantly(P<0.05).(3)There was no significant difference in the overall level of biological error management among students of different sexes(P>0.05).However,in the biological error management behavior,the score of female students was higher than that of malestudents significantly(P<0.05).(4)There was no significant difference(P>0.05)in the overall level of the biological error management between top students and average students,and the overall score of the average students in the biological error management was higher than that of the backward students with extremely significant difference(P<0.01).In the concept of biological error management,the score of top students was higher than that of backward students significantly(P<0.05).In terms of attitude,the scores of both top and average students was higher than that of the backward students with extremely significant difference(P<0.01).And in regard to behavior,the scores of average students were higher than those of underachievers with significant differences(P<0.05).In the aspect of strategy,the score of the top students was higher than that of the backward students with extremely significant difference(P<0.01),and the scores of average students were higher than those of backward students with significant difference(P<0.05).The level of biological errors management was one of the factors that affected exam results of students,and there was a certain positive correlation between them(r=0.542,P<0.01).(5)The most types of error collected by students was knowledge-based fault,accounting for 89%.The method of error management used mostly was revision type,accounting for 69%;while loose-page type,summary type and other efficient management methods had not been popularized.(6)The main factor that restricts students to insist on biology mistake management is that it takes too much time to manage,but students do not have enough time to develop,and they can't collect biology mistake concisely and quickly.(7)Through the systematic training of biological error management,it can help students improving the correct rate on dealing with the repeated questions and the concept map question.Finally,according to the above research result,some countermeasures on the biological errors management in the aspect of collection,revision,analysis,classification,sharing and review of biological errors were put forward,in order to provide reference for students' learning and teachers' teaching.
