Cooperation is the most important characteristic of human society. As a social species, the development of human society cannot be separated from the cooperation between individuals,so cooperative behavior has been the focus of psychologists. In this study, three experiments were conducted to explore the effects of sociality mental mode and self-relevance on cooperation behavior.Experiment 1 used money and human eye cues to initiate different sociality mental mode of individuals, and employed the Chicken game task to investigate the cooperative behavior of individuals in market mode and communal mode. The results showed that the cooperation rate of individuals in the communal mode was significantly higher than that in the control group and the market model. In the second experiment,ERP technique was used to investigate the effect of sociality mental mode on individual cooperative behavior. The results showed that the amplitude of P3 induced by individuals in the decision-making stage of communal mode was smaller than that of market model and control group. And in the stage of result evaluation,in communal mode, there was no difference between the amplitude of FRN induced by receiving aggressive feedback and cooperative feedback. But under the condition of market mode and control group, the amplitude of FRN induced by aggressive feedback was significantly larger than that induced by cooperative feedback, and the amplitude of P300 induced by individuals in communal mode was significantly smaller than that induced by market mode.Experiment 3 examined whether there were differences in cooperative behavior between friends and strangers under different sociality mental modes. The results showed that when the opponent was a close friend, the proportion of individuals choosing cooperation was significantly higher than that of strangers, and in the evaluation stage of the results, the amplitude of P300 induced by the result of profit was larger than that of loss when playing with strangers. The results showed that the sociality mental mode had an impact on the decision-making stage and the result evaluation stage of cooperative behavior, while the self-correlation only affected the late processing of the result evaluation stage.
