The purpose of this study was to investigate the relations between family environment and child sociality, the differences of family environment and child sociality between city and countryside in Liuan Prefecture of Anhui Province. A sample of 185 children aged 3-4 was handily selected from three preschools in city and ten preschools in Shucheng County. The Questionnaire of Babysitter was revised according to The Questionnaire of Babysitter which was commanded and reviewed by WuJianbing and the Questionnaire of parenting style which was from the project of the international study about the ability of reading and writing of children commanded and reviewed by NeiTianshenzi. The Questionnaire of child behavior revised by ZhouNianli was based on the early childhood behavior questionnaire compiled by Mary Rothbart. The study examined the developmental differences of sociality between urban child and rural child by means of Independent-Samples Test; the differences of family environment between urban and countryside using Difference Test; the relationship between the factors of family environment and child sociality through Correlation Analysis and One-Factor Analysis of Variance. How to improve the quality of family environment and child sociality was also discussed.The results indicated that the differences of child sociality between city and countryside were distinct. The difference of sociality in boy reached the meaning of statistics, but not girl; The parental style, Parent-Child Interaction, Family Economic Status and Material and Cultural Capital of Children in city were better than countryside; Families from city were mainly Nuclear Families and the One-Child Families, but families from countryside are mainly were Stem Families and the Non-Only Child Families; the better Family Economic Status, the richer Material and Cultural Capital of Children, the higher Parent-Child Interaction, the better sociality of child; The sociality of child grown in the Nuclear Families and the One-Child Families were better than child grown in StemFamilies and the Non-Only Child Families. According to the results of the study, investigator put forward some suggestions: First, the government should draw attention to the poor area and family, and give more support and compensation. Second, kindergarten should make full use of the local resources and strength the cooperation with parents. Third, parents should do their best to create good family environment.
