This study explores the process of how the teaching and research of modern research university teachers promote each other,that is,the mechanism of mutual promotion between teaching and research.The research on the mutual promotion mechanism between teaching and research of research university teachers can not only deepen the theoretical understanding of the relationship between teaching and scientific research,but also deepen the understanding of the concept of university teaching and scientific research in the interactive relationship between teaching and scientific research.Secondly,it helps Promote the transformation of Lide Shuren from concept to reality,improve the quality of personnel training,and promote the development of university teachers and reshape the legitimacy of universities.This study uses the grounded theory approach in qualitative research,with D University as an example,and conducts in-depth interviews with 11 research university teachers.This paper studies three coding techniques using grounded theory,encodes and analyzes the collected data,and finally constructs a grounded theoretical model for the mutual promotion process of teaching and research in research university teachers.The model includes:1.Causal conditions for the mutual promotion of teaching and research by research university teachers.they include the concept of “unification of teaching and research” and the duties of university teachers.The concept of "unification of teaching and research" as the institutional culture of research universities regulates the behavior of research-based university teachers.The duties of university teachers guide the work of teachers at a more specific level.2.Phenomena caused by causal conditions.Including the high completion degree and unity of teaching and research.The high degree of completion of teachers' work is mainly reflected in the two aspects of high completion quantity and high quality.The unity of teaching and research is mainly reflected in the non-contradiction between teacher teaching and research.3.Situations that affect the process of mutual promotion of teaching and research in research university teachers.they are mainly composed of the teacher's role,the academic concept of teacher integration and the academic responsibility of the teacher.The role of teachers refers to the positions of teachers in and out of school;the academic belief of teachers' integration refers to the judgments or opinions of teachers on the relationship between teaching and research based on their own academic experience.it supports teachers to take practical actions to promote the combination of teaching and research;the academic responsibility of teachers is not only expressed by teachers' pursuit of research and truth,but also by teachers' responsibility for teaching and for students.4.Intervention conditions that influence the formation of the strategy.Including knowledge content,team resources and university institutional environment.The content of knowledge is specific to the teacher's work,which refers to the teacher's teaching content and research direction.The closeness of the two affects the combination of teacher's teaching and research work;the team also plays an important role in the teacher's mutual promotion of teaching and research.The school's institutional environment includes two aspects: the emphasis on teaching work and arrangement and teaching reform,which plays a clear guiding role in teacher work.5.Strategies for mutual promotion of teaching and research in research university teachers.The strategies of teaching and promoting research include research-based teaching and reflective teaching: research-based teaching as a new teaching method changes the separation of teaching and research in the traditional teaching situation;reflective teaching helps teachers to think about teaching and extracting the content of research;research promotion teaching includes research projects entering teaching content,research results applied in teaching practice: the latest content of research projects entering the classroom is the way that teachers often use research to promote teaching,supplemented by the application of research results into teaching practice.6.Results.Research university teachers finally achieve mutual promotion between teaching and research.
