Early childhood well development is a solid foundation for children's subsequent learning and lifelong development.Early onset behavioral problems may affect all areas of children's development.The detection rate of children's behavioral problems in various regions of China is still high,which makes the study of children's behavioral problems has been the focus of attention of many scholars.Through the review of the existing literature,we know that family environment is the main type of effect on 4~6 years old children.Most of the related studies on personality and education are about the relationship between parenting style and children's personality,while few are about the relationship between fathers' and mother's personality and parenting efficacy.Therefore,the influence of parents' tough personality and parenting efficacy on behavior problems of 4~6 years old children need to be further improved.The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of parents' tough personality and parenting efficacy on behavioral problems of preschool children.628 preschool children aged 4-6 and their parents in Chongqing were investigated by Parent Resilience Personality Scale,Parental Rearing Effectiveness Questionnaire and Achenbach Children Behavior Scale.The results show that:(1)The prevalence of behavioral problems among 4~6 years old children is at a moderate level and showed a U-shaped curve.Only the age difference of aggressive behavior was significant.There are significant gender differences in social,aggressive,attention and discipline dimensions.(2)Compared with normal behavioral children,the scores of parents' toughness personality in the dimensions of resilience,engagement and challenge in abnormal behavioral children were significantly lower than those in normal behavioral children.The score of parental control dimension of children with abnormal behavior was significantly higher than that of children with normal behavior.The total score of parental rearing efficacy and its dimensions of children with abnormal behavior were significantly lower than those of children with normal behavior.(3)The dimensions of parental resilience,engagement and challenge were negatively correlated with aggressive behavior,disciplinary behavior and total scores of behavioral problems in 4~6 years old children.The total score of parental rearing efficacy and its dimensions were negatively correlated with the total score of 4~6 years old children's behavioral problems and its dimensions.(4)The control dimension of parents' tough personality positively predicts the behavioral problems of 4~6 years old children,while the other dimensions can not predict the behavioral problems of 4~6 years old children.The total score of parental rearing efficacy,discipline and play dimension negatively predicted the behavioral problems of 4~6 years old children.Based on this,this study aims at improving the behavioral problems of 4~6 years old children,and puts forward the following educational suggestions from the perspective of parents.Firstly,we should attach importance to the behavioral problems of 4~6 years old children to ensure their behavioral development;secondly,we should improve the quality of parental rearing and enhance the parental rearing efficacy;lastly,we should strengthen the personality toughness of parents and standardize the behavior of 4~6 years old children.
