As the basic form of mixed age education,mixed age games has special significance to the cognition,emotion and social development of children.In contemporary society,most of the family structure has changed.Kindergarten adopt the fixed traditional pattern of class teaching system.So many children hardly have chance to participate in mixed age games and thus showing the lack of social or personality development.Children stay in Kindergarten for a long time.To carry out mixed age play in the kindergarten can make up for the deficiency.In order to explore the reasonable program,this study collected related literature and carry out the research.The researcher examined a kindergarten in Xuzhou,a mixed age kindergarten,as the research object.Through in-depth interviews of the principals and teachers and observation of the implementation process,some experience can be summarized.This paper shows the theoretical basis,objectives,the choice of content,organization and implementation and evaluation of curriculum.When making mixed age play curriculum objectives,teachers should consider the holistic,hierarchical and development.Curriculum content should adhere to the life.The content of the course should be direct experience of life from children.Not only to meet the development needs of the every children but also take into account various aspects.That is to say,preschool teachers should be clear about every age's children,analysis the interest and category of experience.Curriculum content should besuitable for the organization form of mixed age play.The creation of game environment and material input should reflect different levels.In order to promote the social interaction,teachers should to create a warm atmosphere of unity for them.The activity organization and teacher behavior should reflect the particularity of mixed age education.Teacher may choose one or more active forms.In the process of game,teachers should observe the activities of children carefully,to guide the children to play together and help each other.Finally,in the aspect of curriculum evaluation,teachers should pay attention to the diversification of evaluation content,standard,subject,and methods.Teachers should pay attention to the game process rather than the outcome.Mixed age game is a new challenge to teacher's previous educational experience.They need to update the concept of education,learn and master the psychological characteristic of 3-6 years old children.In addition,teachers should give their best to design reasonable mixed age play schemes.Kindergarten and parents should provide help and support for teachers.
