Graphics and geometry is a important content in China ' s new reform of mathematics,at the same time,is a important content in reform of international mathematics education,It is of great significance to cultivate students spatial sense and geometric visualization.On the other hand,Contrary Theory of Chinese Learners has always been the hot topic in the field of mathematics education,from the point of curriculum,it can effectively provide a explanation about Contrary Theory of Chinese Learners.Therefore,based on the international comparison of mathematics education,studying the current contents of graphics and geometry can understand the curriculum standards better,help the effective implementation of curriculum reform,and give a new explanation about Contrary Theory of Chinese Learners.This paper adopts the literature method and comparative method,compares the contents of graphics and geometry in Mathematics Curriculum Standards Between China and the USA from total number of the contents and level in contents and arrangement of the contents,in order to explain the Contrary Theory of Chinese Learners.Viewing the extent of the involved content,the number of Chinese curriculum standards is more than that of the United States;from the point demands of standard on the related knowledge points,the standard of China has a explicit demand and United States has a good generality;and viewing the degree of the difficulty,the depth of graphics and geometry knowledge points is deeper than American curriculum.according to the arrangement of curriculum content,the knowledge points of graphics and geometry of China appear the spiral characteristics in three learning-times,however,the characteristics of this one in the United States is not obvious.The "compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard(2011 Edition)" the knowledge points which widely involve help students their multi-angle-thinking,knowledge which have explicit demand specific help teachers understand the concept of curriculum standards deeply,knowledge which is deeper help students understand the problem deeply,knowledge points which appear the spiral characteristics fit students' cognitive level.All these characteristics could provide a new explanation about Contrary Theory of Chinese Learners.
