Stress Relieving For Relatives Of Cancerous Patients With The Involvement Of Group Work Of Social Work

With the changes of people's living habits in the new era,the incidence of cancer in China increased every year,cancer patients have become a large group,which means that more people become the relatives of cancer patients.In their long-term process of taking care of the patients,due to the spirit of a high reacquaint tension,resulting in anxiety,depression and other negative emotions.For the majority of the relatives of patients,the pressure of taking care of cancer patients led them to no time to estimate their physical and mental health,but also the lack of the methods and ways for catharsis and decompression.Based on the literature analysis of the pressure research on domestic and foreign relatives of cancer patients,this paper uses interview and questionnaire to clarify the needs of relatives of cancer patients,and relieves the relatives of cancer patients according to group activities based on theory of social support and the theory of rational emotional therapy.In the process of group activities,social workers use social work professional methods to help team members learn and master decompression,emotional adjustment methods,reduce the psychological pressure of their families,and release the anxiety and negative emotions.At the same time,we help them establish a reasonable understanding and relearning the meaning of cancer and the life.We guide the team members to establish a support network,and invite health care workers to teach the knowledge of diet and nursing skills for cancer patients,enhancing their confidence in caring of patients.I combined my internship experience to analyze the various roles of social workers in the decompression team for the relatives of cancer patients,including planners,coordinators,demonstrators,observers,supporters and assessors.In the actual intervention services,social work has the absolute professional advantage,with a flexible approach to intervention and self-help professional values,to make up for the loss of medicine and the integration of social resources.On the other hand,due to various restrictions,such as staffing,professionalism,the laws and regulations,social workers are also facing the dilemmas of a low sense of social identity,the lack of service,the embarrassing status and so on.Finally,combining with China's national conditions,I put forward the suggestions of improving China's medical social work in three areas,including the improvement of relevant laws and regulations,strengthening personnel training,adoption into the hospital health system,to promote China's medical social workers embarked on development path of specialization and professionalization.
