| With the development of social welfare and the expanding demand for child care workers in the service market, the work tasks of child care workers have changed from basic survival care to meeting the overall development of orphaned children. While the community is concerned about the career development of child care workers, child care workers face problems such as long working hours, high work intensity, and low pay, leading to higher work stress, which further affects the interpersonal relationships of child care workers, the personality development of orphaned children, and the welfare of children. In this study,a questionnaire survey and a semi-structured interview were used to analyze the current work stress situation of child care workers in H City Children’s Welfare Institution in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.During the intervention, the work stress status of the child care workers was first assessed by using the work stress scale, and then group work was used to intervene in the work stress of the care workers after establishing a formal service relationship. The results of the survey on the child care workers in the institution showed that the level of psychological regulation of the child care workers was low and the work stress level was high. The main reasons for the work stress of the care workers included high work intensity, long working hours and interpersonal tension. In response to the above problems, social workers carry out social work from the caregivers themselves and the environment they live in,and intervene in the form of group work services to find appropriate ways to relieve the caregivers’ work stress, enhance their self-regulation ability and ease interpersonal relationships. In concrete practice, the social learning theory and work stress theory were used as guidance to help clients to ease interpersonal relationships and enhance their self-regulation ability, which proved to be effective in relieving the work stress of child care workers to a certain extent. This study presents the effectiveness and limitations of social work methods in relieving work stress through group work interventions, and at the theoretical level,it also provides some practical value for research in the field of women’s social work or corporate social work. |
