This paper explores the current development of new teachers in secondary vocational institutes. Also the paper discusses four important aspects in the professional advancement of teachers in these educational institutes, namely intent and attitudes, future plans, professional knowledge, and professional capacity. The investigation is conducted by questionnaire. The result shows that teachers in secondary vocational institutes sill need development in the above-mentioned areas; however, they are well aware of these shortcomings. With this result the paper proposes to provide an effective training programs by the school, the government, and the teachers themselves.
