Under the influence of NGSS and STEM education,the domestic scientific education reform is also in full swing.With the rapid development of the society,the continuous updating of scientific and technological knowledge,the gradual improvement of the research system and the continuous progress of social civilization,people have gradually discovered that many major problems can no longer be solved by a single scientific knowledge,but need to be solved jointly by scholars in different fields and disciplines.A long period of subject differentiation has resulted in students' knowledge being too fragmented to cultivate comprehensive thinking,which is obviously out of step with the increasingly prominent trend of complex social problems.No matter which country,there are many students who are good at studying in school but can't do anything real.NGSS presents the contents that students of different ages need to master in the form of progressive learning.The secondary core content corresponding to each content is arranged according to the corresponding school-age segment.Its purpose is to combine scientific learning with scientific practice,improve students' horizontal ability,broaden the knowledge system and apply knowledge.The details of this paper are as follows:Firstly,the author consulted a large number of relevant research literatures,completed the literature review,and defined and summarized the concepts of project teaching method,deep learning,STEM education and teaching objectives.This paper analyzes the constructivism and inquiry learning theories to be used in this research.Secondly,the author participated in the stone throwing machine project of the two Xinghua International Youth Science and Technology Games during his graduate school and also set up the science and technology games project in class during his internship.Teaching design in China usually starts from knowledge and skills,processes and methods and emotional attitudes and values.NGSS pays more attention to the design of teaching activities from the three dimensions of science and engineering practice,core concepts of disciplines,and interdisciplinary concepts.Therefore,the author wants to study and examine the projects ofscience and technology games from the perspective of NGSS.According to the students' feedback in class and the observation and interaction of the contestants on the competition site,this paper makes a comparative analysis on how to link the project learning with the engineering practice when designing and organizing the project learning,so that the students can truly acquire knowledge and ability.When looking at the stone thrower project from the perspective of NGSS,the author mainly focuses on eight aspects such as the asking questions and defining problems,the developing and using models,and the planning and carrying out investigations and so on according to the scientific and engineering practice.Energy,Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions under disciplinary core ideas;Cause and effect,system and system model,mode,and the connection with science and technology etc Under the Crosscutting Concepts,to study in the classroom teaching and competition,domestic students can reach what expected performance of NGSS,what expected performance is not reached,and even what additional gains.Once again,NGSS and the science and technology games both hope that through study and practice,students can acquire the ability to solve problems in real situations and adapt to the development of society when they leave the ivory tower.Based on NGSS,the author analyzes the positive influence of science and technology sports on the future development of students by combining the falling objects falling slowly and the load-bearing project of paper bridge.Finally,it summarizes and points out the deficiencies,reflections and further research work in this topic.
