Sports dance,as a new sport,is popular among all kinds of people with its unique charm.It has a strong sense of rhythm and motion,which is the charm of its own sports,mainly dance movements and music emotional performance combined with the movement.Sports dance has been gradually carried out in Liupanshui city middle schools,which is favored by some students.It conforms to the reform form of middle school physical education in the current new curriculum reform.By using the methods of documentation,expert interviews,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics,this paper makes a thorough investigation on the current situation of sports dance in middle schools in Liupanshui city,and draws the following conclusions:(1)Sports dance started earlier in middle schools in Liupanshui city,with a low popularization rate and unbalanced development.Six of the 26 schools carry out sports dance,of which only two enter the physical education classroom,four training teams and participate in various competitions at all levels,and one only offers interest classes.(2)The teaching contents of the two schools that introduce sports dance into classroom teaching are totally different,and the class hours are quite different.There are only one syllabus,no unified teaching materials,only lectures,and teaching methods are relatively single,mainly decomposition method and demonstration method.Two schools introduced sports dancing into large classes.Four schools carried out sports dancing training,participated in competitions and achieved certain results.Provincial and municipal competitions have fewer opportunities,and most schools strive to create opportunities for sports dance students to perform.(3)The existing sports dance teachers in middle schools in Liupanshui City tend to be younger as a whole.Most of them have less than five years of teaching age.Their educational background is mainly undergraduate.There are more male teachers than female teachers.They have more professional background in sports dance and fewer opportunities for teaching and research activities and professional training.(4)Most of the six schools that have carried out sports dance have ordinary dance rooms with some basic equipment,which can basically meet the needs of teaching.However,there are no special and standard sports dance rooms,and there are no venues for teachers or venues for teachers.(5)65% of the students know sports dance,61.20% of the students like sports dance,more girls than boys participate in sports dance.Most parents understand and support students to participate in sports dance,and many parents still hold negative and objection attitude.(6)Through the case analysis of Liupanshui No.3 Middle School,it is concluded that the key to the development of sports dance in middle schools is venue teachers,the degree of attention is the guarantee,and the investment of funds is the precondition.In response to the above conclusions,relevant suggestions are put forward:(1)to improve the current development of school sports dance,to make sports dance into the classroom as much as possible,and to adapt to local conditions,schools that have teachers without venues can use outdoor sports dances,The facilities are properly utilized.For schools that have venues and lack of teachers,they can hire sports dance and part-time substitute teachers to save teachers.Due to the heavy learning tasks of the student culture curriculum,the school can charge a certain fee for the students according to their wishes and needs.They can choose sports dance courses on weekends to create more opportunities for students to learn sports dance.(2)Training existing sports dance teachers,training non-sports dance teachers and sports dance teachers,and building a faculty.The classroom is combined with extracurricular training,and extracurricular training is used to increase and consolidate the skills of the students and to cooperate with the partners.Strengthen the management to enable students to achieve the effect of teaching in an orderly and smooth manner in their studies.(3)Create students' performance opportunities and allow students to participate in competitions,enhance students' self-confidence and improve students' social practice ability.The establishment of the sports dance college entrance examination art class increased the high school entrance examination rate.Vigorously promote sports dance between students and parents,increase students and parents' awareness of sports dance,promote parents' support for students to participate in sports dance,and enhance students' participation in sports dance.(4)In the process of teaching,the teacher should divulge the students' thinking,and appropriately adjust the assessment system so that the students can arrange their favorite routines according to their own hobbies and styles,and induce students' self-learning ability and innovative ability.
