Design And Implementation Of An Operation Management System For Golf Tournament

As golf gradually became a new consumption hotspot,the related business events was increasing.Due to lack of the effective management methods,which result in omission and delay of pre-race preparations.This phenomenon has become a development bottleneck of golf business events operating company.The survey found that when the number of events rose from 10 to 50 each year,the use of traditional management tools will greatly increase the probability of error,which has impacted on the development of the company's business.Therefore,use the software to improve the level of management is imperative.At present,the operation management system of golf tournament generally has the following deficiencies: high cost and difficult to promote,maintain and expand difficulties,ignore schedule control,lack of information sharing,poor reusability,etc.That isn?t meet the company's current needs.Therefore,this paper will aim to design and implementation of an operation management system for golf tournament which will suit for the company.The system can reuse tasks which have been entered into the database.When the manager confirms the scale and date of the game,the system can automatically calculate the start and completion dates of various preparatory activities for each employee.The details of paper are as follows:(1)This paper studies the software system or technology of golf business events all of the world,and puts forward some common problems in combination with the current situation of the company.(2)Use the work breakdown structure to decompose the preparatory work into a work package with clear scope and can be executed.This method can be used to solve the problem that the work content is omitted and the division of responsibilities is not clear.(3)Use the precedence diagramming method to draw the mesh patterns contained in each work module.This method can be used to help determine the logical relationship between activities.(4)Use the critical path method to calculate the start and completion dates of various preparatory activities,so as to ensure that there will be no time delay and accidents due to human negligence.(5)Design and implementation of this operation management system for golf tournament.Analyze the system design ideas from the functional structure,key modules and database.Divide the system into nine function modules and design the database tables for them.Practical application shows that the research work is quite effective.After using the system,not only management efficiency in pre-race preparations progress,such as pre-game meetings,task announcements,increased by nearly 40%,but also the ratio of unplanned events,like frequent delays,omissions,from 10%-15% down to an average of less than 5% per game.It has a great effect in reducing management costs and improving work efficiency for company.
