The revision of the 2017 edition of the Ordinary High School Geography Curriculum Standard reflects the deepening of the new round of basic education curriculum reform. When the new curriculum standards are revised, they are expected to reflect the needs of the times, pay attention to the teaching reform under the information environment, and strengthen the close relationship between students' study with their life and technology. Most teachers, through reading a large number of documents, believe that the current implementation of space information technology in China still have lots of obstacles which have made it fail to achieve the desired teaching effect. The school-based curriculum has the advantages of abundant teaching time, flexible teaching venues, integral teaching content and can be used as a carrier for spatial information technology education.Through a questionnaire survey of three grades of students from Xiting High School in Jiangsu Province, more than one-third of students chose to use geographic information technology as the content of school-based curriculum;60% of students believe that geographic information technology contributes greatly to social development and should be contacted as soon as possible. At the same time,39% of students consider GIS as a university major or future career direction, indicating that students have a great interest in spatial information technology. On this basis, this article has compiled school-based curriculum materials. In order to make the abstract spatial information technology knowledge easy to understand and meet the school needs of different schools, through reading a large number of literature and discussion, from view of the people's food, housing, transportation, and using, selected spatial information technology that is close to students' lives, including Baidu map, smart transportation, indoor navigation, related companies and software introduction. In order to facilitate the teachers to selectively carry out teaching according to the teaching materials, through studying the typesetting characteristics of middle school geography textbooks, each knowledge point in the chapter adopts a combination of text + reading materials and activities, and the ratio of text to pictures is not more than 1/4.At the same time, the internal and chapter sections of the chapter are designed according to the order from easy to difficult and from simple to complex,in line with the characteristics of students' physical and mental development. The two chapters of "Introduction to Spatial Information Technology" and "Usage of Electronic Maps-Taking Baidu Map as an Example" were used as examples in secondary schools.Through the discussion with first-line teachers,"Introduction to Spatial Information Technology" contains more professional terms,to motivate students to participate in enthusiasm, the theoretical knowledge was reduced, the students' mouth, hands, and brain can work through the setting of activities."The use of electronic maps" allows students to operate the web version of Baidu maps on the computer. It can help them master simple desktop GIS software operation, and increase life skills. The implementation results show that the school-based curriculum as a carrier to carry out space information technology education can not only play the advantages of school-based curriculum, but also help students understand the spatial information technology in life, and has strong feasibility.
