More and more attention has been paid to the core literacy education at the present.The geospatial literacy occupies the core position of geographical core literacy due to the spatial characteristics of geography.The cultivation of students' geographical spatial literacy plays an important role in improving the interest of leaning geography,problem solving ability and lifelong learning ability.GIS as a product of geographical science and information technology,which has been paid more and more attention in the middle school geography teaching,not only as an accessorial tool of teaching but also a teaching content into the middle school geography teaching.Has been proved that plays an important role in the auxiliary teaching of high school geography education,especially in the aspect of geography spatial literacy cultivation.I have summarized the related concepts of geospatial literacy based on lots of documents in this paper.Meantime I have discussed the advantages of using GIS technology in the cultivation of middle-school students' geospatial literacy according to the requirements of the new high school geography curriculum,I have summed up the geospatial literacy factors.On this basis,the paper puts forward the strategies of cultivating the students' spatial literacy based on GIS technology,and verifies the proposed strategies through the teaching experiment.The experimental results show that the use of GIS technology can effectively improve the ability of middle school students' spatial literacy,and it also showed that is of a significance to the teaching of Geography in middle school students.The full text follows the research ideas from theory to practice,which is divided into 5 chapters.Chapter one includes literature review,introduction of the research background and significance.These are discussed from two aspects respectively: the study progress about the home and abroad of GIS aided teaching and geospatial literacy cultivation.On this basis,the research contents,methods and basic ideas have been determined.The second chapter mainly discusses the related concepts of geographical spatial literacy,and determines that the geography spatial accomplishment that middle school students should have is composed of four kinds of abilities: the ability of geospatial literacy by four,respectively is the geographical spatial perception,spatial ability,logical reasoning ability and spatial geographic spatial expression ability.The third chapter mainly discusses the advantages of GIS to the cultivation of geography spatial quality of middle school students.On this basis,the paper puts forward the teaching strategies of GIS.The fourth chapter is the empirical research part,first of all,combined with the proposed GIS teaching strategies to design teaching cases,and then use the traditional teaching methods and the use of GIS-assisted teaching of two groups of students self-compiled test papers,and finally the use of statistical analysis of the results of the experiment are quantitatively analyzed to verify the effectiveness of GIS teaching strategies.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and outlook,the main conclusion of the application of GIS technology in the cultivation of middle-school students' geospatial literacy in are summarized,and pointed out the shortcomings in the research,the prospect for future research.
