Research and development talents are important participants in enterprise innovation activities.With the continuous improvement of the internationalization level of R&D,in the face of the huge demand for R&D talents in the global labor market and the background of multinational companies establishing R&D branches abroad,R&D talents begin to break through the internal organization of enterprises and flow around the world.As an important innovative talent resource,the cross-regional flow of R&D talents has an important impact on the source and destination respectively as well as regional relationships.This paper focuses on the "spatial distribution-how to evolve-network characteristics" of R&D talent flow from two scales of global and Chinese cities.This will help to reveal the geographical distribution of high-quality research and development human resources in the world,and the positional relationship among countries in the global R&D talent flow,and the status and changes of Chinese cities in the global R&D talent flow.Firstly,this study reviews the research progress of talent flow at home and abroad.Next,through big data mining technology to scrape R&D talent data from the innovation investment of top 100 enterprises from the world's largest professional social networking site LinkedIn.Finally,after clearing,coding and assigning longitude and latitude to about 50,000 talent resumes obtained by resume analysis method,38 thousand global R&D talent resumes database containing spacetime information were established and used as research samples.This paper is based on population migration theory,innovative geography theory,new economic geography theory and complex network theory.Core density analysis,location-based entropy analysis model and social network analysis method are mainly adopted.Meanwhile,software platforms such as ArcGIS 10.5,Stata 14.0,Pajek,Gephi and VOS viewer are also adopted.This paper summarizes the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of R&D talents,analyzes the different roles of Chinese cities in the r & d talent education and work stage,constructs the global r & d talent flow network,and extracts the network structure of China in the global R&D talent flow network.Finally,combined with the research results of this paper,we propose talent-related policy recommendations for building a technological powerhouse,a global science and technology innovation center,and a regional innovation city.This paper mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)The spatial coupling between the R&D talent cultivation area and the R&D activity cluster area deviates.(2)The core edge system of the global network is highlighted,and the structure of Islamic countries is clear.(3)The U.S.-centered pentagon global R&D talent flow network is formed.(4)China in the research and development of talent in the global mobility network embedded degree is deepening.(5)The global R&D talents are not balanced in China's inter-regional flow.
