Since the 1980 s,curriculum reforms in basic education have swept across several developed countries,in which curricular standard has played an increasingly important role.In China,the curricular standards 2001 and 2003 have been revised since the early 21 st century.While this process will continue,it is necessary to improve the revision.As for other countries,many ones' have several revisions,and it is worth studying these revisions for advice.This research selects 8 countries for comparison,including America,England,France,Germany,Finland,Australia,Russia,and Japan.Based on the original materials and related references,the author studies the frequency,the factor,the subject and the main changes of the revisions in recent years,as well as proposing some suggestions for China.The findings are as follows.Firstly,the frequency of revision in several countries is quite different,while the decentralized countries such as America,Germany,and Australia all promulgated national curricular standards in recent years.And the frequency of the revision is subject to the curricular standard's role in basic education,the scope of revision and the length of schooling.Secondly,the role of the curricular standard determines its revision in the background of the information age,the policy changes,the international education testing,and the education reform.Thirdly,the subject of revision can be divided into three categories: from local autonomy to negotiation,department under the ministry of education,and independent institution.Lastly,in recent years the objectives of curriclum focusing on key competences,STEM education strengthened,curriculum more integrated and closer to life,and the rising difficulty of the curriculum are the main changes of the content revision.Based on the research above,the revision of curricular standard in China may be improved in the following ways: firstly,by determining a relatively fixed revision cycle;secondly,by testing the curricular standard after revision;thirdly,by regulating the work of revision;lastly,by establishing a website of curricular standard.
