Pan Xinhe's "Speech Life Dynamics" theory of Chinese education contains rich views on Chinese education and practice,which has important academic value and practical significance."Writing Standard " is the essence of Pan Xinhe's theory of Chinese education,and discuss the core role of "writing" in Chinese education.The view of Chinese education based on writing base is different from that based on reading base which is represented by Ye Shengtao.Reading base emphasizes on that “reading” is as its core,then leading the development of listening,speaking and writing.However,Pan Xinhe maintains that there are two points in it not standing up to scrutiny.Firstly,the materials we read are the made-up articles,but how can we learn creative processes through made-up articles? Secondly,the final aim of reading is not only to absorb it.What we absorb is expressed by various ways,while the main ways are speaking and writing and writing are more important than speaking.Based on those,Pan Xinhe reflected on training objects,textbook concepts and teaching methods under the “reading base”.He establishes the view of Chinese education based on writing base on the foundation of others,and puts forward the corresponding training objects,textbook concepts and teaching methods.Pan Xinhe maintains that the subject of education is human,so the subject of Chinese education must be human-oriented.He redefines “human”and “base”.In his perspective,“human” are the symbol animals that are speech animals,and “base” means inherent verbal impulse and potential,which means human are born to write.Those provide continuous internal dynamic foundation for the view of Chinese education based on writing base.Inner motivation is the source of writing.The final aim of writing learning isto cultivate people to leave their unique words and thoughts which are to be handed down from generation to generation.They use the spirits of their articles to inspire descendants and to perpetuate human spirits.There are important implications on current writing teaching in Pan Xinhe's view of Chinese education based on writing base.Firstly,in the writing teaching,what teachers need to do is to inspire students' inherent verbal potential.Secondly,students' brilliant expressions should be carefully cultivated.What's more,when students are writing,traditional and mighty teachers should step back,just guide and let them go to draw up the topics and write in their own words and thoughts,in order to motivate their appetency of speaking and writing.Finally,when making writing evaluation,teachers should get rid of the idea that they are the authority and should have a verbal and mental dialogue with students to narrow the distance between teachers and students,in order to improve evaluation.However,some limitations still lie in Pan Xinhe's view of Chinese education based on writing base: there are some difficulties in fully achieving writing base.In daily writing,students maybe could write freely,but students are limited to rules and requirements while writing in the exams.To sum up,Pan Xinhe's "Writing Standard" Chinese education concept has made an important contribution to the development of Chinese education theory and practice in the new era,and is an indispensable part of Chinese education theory.It is of great value to both the new period and the future.
