The textbook is an important teaching resource in the teaching process,a carrier of teaching concepts and teaching content,and has an irreplaceable position in school education.The United States can become the most developed country,which has a great relationship with the education of the United States.It is reflected in its various types of education at all levels and has certain characteristics..School education cannot be separated from teaching materials,the content and structure of teaching materials can reflect the trend and standard of education development in today's world to some extent.Therefore,a comparative study of biology textbooks in high schools in China and the United States can not only provide Chinese biology teachers with learning resources,but also improve the teaching quality by drawing on the advantages and characteristics of American textbooks in classroom teaching.This paper uses the comparative research method and the literature research method to compare the content,depth and breadth,columns,illustrations and exercises of the "populations and communities" in the high school biology textbooks of China and the United States.Through the research,it is found that there are some shortcomings in the knowledge content of "population and community" plate in Chinese teaching edition high School Biology Teaching Materials:(1)The depth and breadth of knowledge,the consistency,logic and integrity of knowledge are weak,(2)insufficient attention is paid to the setting of the imported type column;(3)the amount of exercise setting is small,and the level of knowledge examination is low.According to this,the following suggestions are made for teachers to teach the content of "population and Community" :(1)Select the content of knowledge,appropriately increase the depth and breadth of knowledge.(2)Reasonable use of columns,increase classroom interest and column effective utilization rate.(3)Reasonable use of the relevant drawings and forms,choose a high resolution,bright color of the map.(4)Choosing a higher level of post-class exercises to achieve effective consolidation of knowledge.Finally,according to the results of the comparison,the author designs the teaching cases and carries out the teaching practice.In orderto understand the effect after the teaching practice,the corresponding test questions are designed to test the experimental class and the control class,and the test results are analyzed.The T test result is P=0.000,and P<0.05,there were significant differences in the overall scores of the two classes,the experimental class scores were better,and there were significant differences in the scores of multiple single questions,and there are significant differences in the scores of multiple single questions.It shows that it is effective to analyze and compare teaching materials to develop instructional design and implement them in practical classroom teaching.
