The Internet Encyclopedia has become one of the most widely used and popular information sources in the Internet era, however the content quality of Internet Encyclopedia has been questioned by many domestic and foreign scholars. The most direct performance is that a large number of college teachers prohibit students from using Internet encyclopedia resources in academic research. However, the Internet encyclopedia resources are not completely unreliable.Studies have proved that the quality of natural science entries in the Internet encyclopedia is relatively high, and some of them are not even lost in the Encyclopedia Britannica. So why is the opposition of the academic community to the Internet Encyclopedia so common? Based on this, this study attempts to explore whether college teachers have stereotypes about Internet encyclopedia in order to explain the above phenomenon. This study uses the self-compiled "Internet Encyclopedia Impression Survey" questionnaire and the experiment method of Internet encyclopedia SC-IAT to explore the existence of college teachers' stereotypes on the Internet from the two levels of explicit and implicit. In the test of Internet encyclopedia explicit stereotypes,it mainly includes collecting the typical impression components of college teachers on Internet encyclopedia, compiling Internet encyclopedia impression questionnaire, implementing pre-investigation and formal investigation. In the hidden engraving impressions of the Internet encyclopedia,it mainly includes collecting adjectives related to the positive and negative attributes of the Internet encyclopedia, compiling the Internet encyclopedia implicit SC-IAT experiment, conducting small sample experiments and calculating the implicit effect value of college teachers. The above results prove that college teachers have significant stereotypes on Internet encyclopedias. These stereotypes are composed of four dimensions: Internet encyclopedia overall impression,Internet encyclopedia entry content impression,Internet encyclopedia system design impression,Internet encyclopedia service and management impression.Specifically,at the explicit level, college teachers have a positive stereotype of Internet encyclopedia;at the implicit level, college teachers have a negative stereotype of Internet encyclopedia. In addition, the basic information of college teachers' own gender, age, professional title, subject discipline, and location of the university where they are employed has no significant difference to the Internet encyclopedia stereotype. However,to a certain extent, this kind of stereotype will affect the attitude of college teachers in using Internet encyclopedia in academic research. Finally,in the conclusion part, put forward some suggestions to weaken the stereotype of the Internet encyclopedia. For example,it is recommended that the Internet encyclopedia make changes in overall level planning, entry content review, platform services and management. At the same time, college teachers can try to change their attitudes, broaden the channels of information acquisition, and take the initiative to assume academic responsibility.
