The new curriculum reform concept emphasizes the change of teaching methods.Teachers change from teaching to guiding,and students change from accepting learning to active learning.Historical data is the necessary material for History Teachers to carry out classroom Teaching.Studying historical materials has become the main way for senior high school students to acquire historical knowledge.High school history curriculum standards emphasize the cultivation of student's history learning ability.In the process of studying historical materials,the core accomplishment of history discipline has been promoted,the ability of historical thinking,problem solving,historical inquiry and autonomous learning have also been promoted.The study of high school student's historical data consists of five steps:Collect and collate historical data.Understand the meaning of historical materials.Distinguish the true and false of historical materials.Extracting historical information from historical data.Using the historical information to restore the historical truth,the objective historical conclusion is drawn.On the basis of high school student's learning ability,To cultivate senior high school student's ability to study historical materials is to cultivate their ability to collect,organize and identify historical materials,to extract historical information from historical materials,to synthesize and compare historical materials,to sum up historical conclusions,and so on.There is a wide range of historical materials.The historical materials studied by senior high school students mainly include documentary historical materials,physical historical materials,oral historical materials,image historical materials,and modern audio-visual historical materials.Theresults of a questionnaire survey on the cultivation of senior high school student's ability to study historical materials show that there are some problems in the study of historical materials in senior high school students at present.The factors that affect the cultivation of senior high school student's ability to study historical materials are historical data themselves,individual differences and learning motivation of students,teacher's teaching accomplishment and some social factors.The improvement of senior high school student's ability to study historical materials can not be separated from the guidance of history teachers and the exertion of their subjective initiative.On the one hand,teachers should carefully arrange historical materials and design issues when carrying out historical materials research activities.When students interpret historical materials,they should pay attention to the guidance of research methods.On the other hand,students need to actively play the main role,actively participate in the study of historical materials,take historical materialism as the guide,master the method of reading historical materials,and through practical training,constantly strengthen the ability of all aspects of historical materials research.In the last part of this paper,the teaching design will be exemplified by the course Revolution of 1911 in the second section of Modern China's Democratic Revolution,which is a compulsory subject of the People's Edition of Senior High School History.In the teaching process,it will elaborate how teachers should guide students to study historical materials,so as to enhance their ability to study historical materials.
