Study On Case Work To Promote The Positive Emotion Of The Disabled Elderly In Nursing Home

With the deepening of population aging in China,the attention of the state and society to the elderly population has been strengthened.Promoted by various policies of the Party and the state,the material living standards of elderly people have been significantly improved.However,at the same time,the mental health problems of the elderly are becoming increasingly prominent,which has become an important factor affecting happiness of the elderly.According to the survey,there are about 40.63 million disabled and semi-disabled elderly people in China,accounting for 18.3% of the elderly population.Among them,the disabled elderly are more likely to have psychological problems because of their physical disability or pain,previous studies have mostly emphasized the treatment and intervention of mental and psychological problems of disabled elderly people,but there is still a lack of in-depth practice and research on how to effectively enhance their positive emotions and enhance their happiness.This paper applies the concept of positive emotions to the practice of case work,aiming at enhancing the positive emotions of the clients through case service and enhancing their sense of happiness in life.Moreover,it explores the social work intervention in the emotional and psychological problems of the elderly from a new perspective,broadens the field and ways of social work service.In this study,survey was used to collect the information of disabled elderly in W nursing home before receiving intervention,the degree of disability was measured by ADL,positive emotions were measured by positive emotional scale.An elderly person with the lowest score of positive emotions was selected to carry out case service,and this positive emotional measurement was taken as a pretest.In the process of intervention,case talks are conducted regularly with the method of psychological counseling,and cognitive behavioral therapy is used in the intervention.After the last service,the positive emotions were measured every seven days,totally twice,as a post-test.Finally,combined with service satisfaction questionnaire and unstructured interviews,as well as the evaluation of supervisor and self-evaluation of social workers,the effectiveness of the case was evaluated.The evaluation results show that the positive emotions of case work can improve the psychological and behavioral of the clients,and have certain effects on the positive emotions of the clients,such as life enthusiasm,happiness and spiritual vitality.The case service method used in this study has a certain degree of practical value.
