| The integration of educational games and disciplines is a development direction of education in the future.Based on gamification learning theory and experiential learning theory,this study designs a junior high school physics educational game— "Rescue Archimedes",on the basis of learner analysis,learning goal analysis and learning content analysis of Unit 12 "Simple Machinery",second grade physics of junior high school.In order to increase the physics learning fun,reduce the dull of physics learning,make up for the lack of interest in junior high school physics games and some of other problems,the study provides a solution idea here.In order to understand the research status of the combination of educational games and junior high school physics in China,this study analyzed the research status of the combination of educational games and junior high school physics at home and abroad through the index of relevant literature on "educational games" in CNKI.It can be found that in recent years,the related research on educational games in China has gradually increased,and excellent educational games have emerged.However,these educational games are mainly applied to preschool children and pupils.In terms of content,it mainly focuses on children’s literacy,elementary mathematics,foreign language learning,and history learning and so on.And there are few game software or platforms for middle school physics.In order to remedy this deficiency,according to the content of the unit "Simple Machinery" in the second grade physics of junior high school,and based on gamification learning theory and experiential learning theory,this study designed the type of this game,the background of this story,the characters,the framework,the game’s process,task and feedback mechanism on the basis of learner analysis,learning goal analysis and learning content analysis.By choosing the appropriate game making engine,this study made a simple and experiential junior high school physics educational game-"Rescue Archimedes".After a simple test and modification of the game,the game was applied to the classroom.A questionnaire survey was made to investigate the feedback of students on the game effect.Two junior middle school physics teachers were interviewed about the feedback of the game.Through the questionnaire data of students and interviews of teachers,it can be found that students are very satisfied with the game-"Rescue Archimedes",which can prove that the game has played a certain role in enhancing students’ interest in physics learning,and improved students’ attitude towards physics learning to a certain extent.Students preferred this learning method.After using this educational game,the vast majority of students are willing to accept the way of learning through games,and this way can attract students.Teachers also accepted the game and expressed their willingness to introduce educational games into the classroom.If front-line teachers can also use a simple game making engine to produce educational games in accordance with their own classroom,or if the school can introduce a set of great educational games with related disciplines,it will greatly enhance students’ interest in learning and improve the learning effect. |
