This research takes the development of expansive curriculum in new rural middle schools — Yuhang TY Middle School as the research object.Through the literature method,this research makes an analysis and summary of the current situation of the research on the process model and the scenario model of curriculum development and the expansive curriculum in the new rural schools,establishes the theoretical basis for the development of expansive curriculum in new rural junior middle schools,and clarifies the operational methods for the development of expansive curriculum.this study analyzed and summarized five major problems Through interviews and questionnaires,this research summarizes five major problems in the development of expanding curriculum in TY Middle School: The management deficiencies in the development of expansive curriculum;Teachers are weak in willingness and ability;Needs of students are mixed and the boundaries of years are blurred;The curriculum system is not clear,the characteristics of the new countryside are not obvious,and inadequate school sites and facilities.Detailed management plan,training,collective lesson preparation and assessment are adopted to enhance ability of teachers and willingness to develop curriculum.Selection of courses,breaking the grade framework,relying on University resources;Taking "Si-Qi Classroom" as the carrier,we should build "One,Three,Five" system,and "Four Groups and Eight Categories" local characteristic courses.Reasonable arrangement of time,reuse of space and other five kinds of methods to improve the development of expanding curriculum in TY Middle School,elaborate on the implementation of the relevant details of the curriculum.This research also proceeds from three difficulties: insufficient experimental equipment provided by schools;Standardization of curriculum content and lack of innovative ideas,and different needs of students at different stages.Put forward the development of living goods and toys;Secondary development of textbook content,combined with local characteristics,let students experiment;Different curriculum content solutions for different grades,improve the development of "unconventional" science experiment expanding curriculum in TY Middle School.And two examples are given to illustrate the course.Finally,through reflection on the practice of the development of expansive curriculum in TY Middle School,summarize the experience,and provide a reference for other new rural junior middle schools in the development of expansive curriculum.
