Since the 21 st century,China, with a population of more than 1.3 billion, has entered an aging society as early as 1999,and the "silver wave" has swept across the country. With the advent of an aging society, with the intensification of urbanization, stair walking has become a common form of activity, allowing more people to focus on the elderly;while the elderly body gradually ages with age, falling It is the main threat to the elderly.Older people fall in the stairwells and account for a large percentage of falls.Based on the kinematics data of the elderly and young people up and down the stairs, this paper compares and analyzes the movement behaviors of the joints of the upper and lower stairs at different speeds at different speeds to obtain the kinematics of the lower limbs of the elderly and young people when going up and down the stairs..In this study, the elderly were used as the experimental group to complete the test of going up and down stairs at different speeds on the test stairs, and the young people were used as the control group. The experiment used the infrared camera capture system(UK,Vicon,8 cameras, sampling frequency is 100Hz),collecting the kinematic parameters such as time, space, time and space in the walking of the elderly and young people up and down the stairs, using Vicon system’s own analysis software and tools such as Excel,Origin2016,SPSS for post-processing and analysis.Research results:(1)Old men and young men have differences in the total time of the upstairs process and the support phase time, the total time of the downstairs process.(2)The total time, support time and swing time of the elderly in the natural walking(medium speed)of the upper and lower stairs are slower than that of the young people, but the old people go up and down the stairs at 90 beats(slow speed)and 110 beats(Fast)Total time, support time, and swing time are not completely slower than young people.(3)There are few differences in hip flexion and extension, adduction and abduction between the elderly and young people at various moments. There are many differences in the internal and external rotation of the hip joint;there are many aspects in the knee flexion and extension, adduction and abduction, internal and external rotation. The difference is that there are many differences in the ankle joint flexion, internal and external valgus, internal and external rotation.(4)The angles of hip, knee and ankle joints of the lower limbs in the sagittal plane showed the same trend with the changes of the sagittal plane during the walking process.Research conclusions: Old people are slower than young people in the natural walking(medium speed)of the upper and lower stairs.;the elderly have poor knee stability during walking gait up and down stairs, which can be considered as elderly One of the causes of falling on the stairs is easy to fall;the angle of dorsiflexion of the elderly in the upper and lower stairs is significantly smaller than that of young people, and it is easy to be tripped. It can be considered that this is one of the causes of the elderly falling easily on the stairs; The angles of the hip, knee and ankle joints of the lower limbs in the sagittal plane were basically the same with time when the young people walked up and down the stairs.
