In 2013,the Master of Science popularization Degree was set up as a brand new degree point in six universities in China.As a new student,the cultivation of Master of Science popularization has been in constant exploration.At the beginning of its birth,Master of Science popularization is to train high-level talents for science and technology venues and other places of science popularization.The curriculum is very important for the realization of this goal.At the beginning,this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the current situation of curriculum design of Master of Science Communication and Master of Museum study in the United States,summarizes its characteristics in curriculum objectives,curriculum content and curriculum structure,and finds that its training objectives are practical-oriented,and the curriculum content covers a wide range,thus forming a relatively mature and stable curriculum system.On this basis,in order to grasp the current situation of curricula for Master of Science popularization in China,an interview study was conducted among 13 Master of Science popularization students.After obtaining a large number of interview materials,the interview materials were sorted out and refined.It was found that the training objectives of Master of Science popularization curriculum were not clear enough,the curriculum structure was unbalanced,and the curriculum content was too theoretical.In view of these problems,this paper compares the problems with the current situation in the United States,and analyses the causes of the problems in the curriculum of Master of Science popularization in China.Finally,on the basis of comparing the characteristics of curricula offered by American science communication training projects and museum study training projects with those of domestic popular science masters,this paper proposes that curricula offered should have clear training objectives,cross-department joint training,attaching importance to practical courses and introducing professional teachers.
