Comparative Study On Core Values Education Between Chinese And Singaporean Universities

Core values are the concentrated expression of a certain social form and nature.They play a leading role in the ideological system of a society and embody the basic principles of social system,social operation and the basic direction of social development.The core values bear the spiritual pursuit of a nation and a country,and embody the value standard for judging the rights and wrongs of a society.Under the guidance of core values,it is conducive to the cohesion of the people,the promotion of the national spirit,the maintenance of ideological security and the promotion of political and economic development.The whole society should actively promote and practice core values.Therefore,core values education is particularly important for all countries.The research on core values education,including the laws of core values education,the empirical research on core values education,and the comparative research on core values education,has become the forefront of academic research.The core values education in China and Singapore is possible because of the consistency of its role,the commonality of its cultural foundation and the problems of The Times,as well as the homogeneity of its contents.Based on the core values education in new universities in China and Singapore,this paper carries out a comparative study,aiming to provide references for improving the effectiveness of core values education in China.In this paper,the comparative study of core values education in Chinese and Singaporean universities follows the following ideas: first,the research background,significance and research status at home and abroad are introduced.Secondly,it analyzes the similarities and differences between the education of common values in Singapore and the education of core socialist values in China by means of comparison and comparison.In addition,it explains the current situation and problems of socialist core values education in Chinese universities.Thirdly,this paper makes an in-depth discussion on the highlights of common values education in Singapore universities,and points out the effectiveness of common values education in Singapore universities in theory teaching,practice teaching and campus culture construction.Finally,this paper discusses the enlightenment of the common values education in universities of Singapore on the core socialist values education in universities of China,and points out the specific countermeasures to improve the core socialist values education in universities of China in theory teaching,practice teaching and campus culture construction.
