A Comparison On Technology Using In Senior High School Maths Textbooks Between China And Singapore

At present, all the countries of the world are implementing the informationizationeducation energetically. Information technology comes into the instruction, which leadsprofound change to the teaching ideas, textbook compile, teaching ways and so on. One ofthe basic ideas in《The mathematics curriculum Standards for Senior High School》is that“pay attention to the integrity between information technology and mathematicscurriculum”. From the present several versions of senior high school mathematics textbookin our country, there is great difference in integration degree. This paper selects theAustralian and Chinese People’s Education Press (Edition A) senior high school mathstextbooks as the research object, to compare the differences of the technology using.Using the method of literature, this paper compares the concept and requirements oftechnology using between Singapore and China, and summarizes the existing relatedresearch. Then, we construct index system according to “technical tools, presentation,content links, application form” and the technology using level, and finally establishanalysis framework of technology using in textbooks. On the basis of statistics of thetechnology use in the Singapore and Chinese mathematics textbooks, we make quantitativeand qualitative analysis.The main conclusions of this paper is that technology using in China and Singaporesenior high school mathematics textbooks are mainly fusion, present through examples, ofPeople’s Education Press (Edition A) are various, and the distribution of technology usinglevel has large differences. But technology tool of Singapore is single, and mostly Focusedon the level2. All in all, the technology using in Singapore and People’s Education Press(Edition A) mathematics textbooks has its own characteristic.
