Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasure Of International Exchange Project For Students In Polytechnic

Universities are the cradle of high-level talents,which can improve the overall scientific research level of the country and play an important role in promoting globalization and economic development.With the continuous improvement of China's opening to the outside world,the internationalization trend of higher education becomes increasingly obvious.For the universities of science and technology,international development is not only a goal,but also an important means to improve themselves.On the one hand,universities of science and technology can encourage their teachers and students to actively go abroad to participate in international exchange programs and broaden their horizons.On the other hand,it can also attract excellent international students to study in our country,introduce foreign experts and scholars to teach or hold lectures in China,and create an international atmosphere of the school.By actively carrying out international exchanges,strengthening cooperation with universities in other countries or regions,learning from the international experience of excellent universities at home and abroad,and expanding their international influence,the overall level and comprehensive ability of science and technology schools can be improved.Students are the main body of the university and international student mobility is an important part of the internationalization of higher education.At present,many domestic universities of science and technology pay more and more attention to the international exchange of students,but there are still many problems in the specific implementation process.How to solve relevant problems,effectively meet the real needs of students,and improve the existing working methods are important issues to promote the development of students students' international exchange programs in universities of science and technology.This research mainly adopts the methods of literature research,investigation and case study,etc.,and takes undergraduates and postgraduates of a university of science and technology as the research objects.Through questionnaires,field surveys,interviews and other methods,the current situation of international exchange programs of students in this university is investigated.By combining qualitative research with quantitative research,this paper explores the current situation and problems of international communication among students of science and engineering colleges and universities.Then,based on relevant theories and research results,some countermeasures to improve the international communication of students in science and engineering universities are systematically proposed,in the hope of providing corresponding references for the internationalization construction of China's science and technology universities.According to the survey results,there are five main problems in the work of international exchange projects for students in Universities of science and technology: insufficient publicity of exchange projects,high project costs and limited international funds,lack of internationalization awareness of some students,neglect of the needs of disadvantaged disciplines,and lack of effective communication and feedback mechanism between schools and students.Based on the above problems,this paper explores some countermeasures to improve the work of international exchange programs for students of science and engineering universities from three aspects,including school,program and personnel training At the school level,universities of science and technology should improve the international management mechanism and supporting policies;strengthen the construction of international management personnel to improve the quality of service;create an international atmosphere of schools and increase the content of local internationalization.At the program level,universities of science and technology should enrich the level of international exchange projects,carry out different international exchange projects according to the specific needs of different colleges,pay attention to the internationalization of disciplines with special characteristics while not neglecting the development of internationalization of Humanities and social sciences;broaden the channels of international funds,increase the financial support for exchange projects;and strengthen the organization and publicity of projects.At the level of personnel training,universities of science and technology should guide students to raise their awareness of internationalization,help them establish correct internationalization concept,make career planning as soon as possible,and pay attention to the cultivation of students' foreign language ability.
