In order to achieve the development goal of "cultivating a large number of high-quality graduates who know and learn from China",vigorously promote China’s traditional national sports culture,realize the intercommunication and mutual learning among different cultures,and promote the internationalization of China’s colleges and universities.Focusing on the development of China’s diplomatic strategy and the planning of educational talents,this paper adopts the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,expert interview and observation to investigate and study the current situation of foreign students’ physical education from three aspects: physical education curriculum,physical education management and extracurricular physical education activities.The conclusions are as follows:(1)By analyzing the current situation of foreign students’ physical education in colleges and universities in Changchun,it is concluded that: first,the physical education curriculum for foreign students is not perfect enough.It is mainly reflected in the lack of pertinence of teaching objectives,diversity of teaching methods,monotonous and uninteresting teaching contents,imperfect teaching evaluation system,imperfect examination system,and lack of flexibility of teaching organization.Second,the foreign students physical education teaching management system has defects.This is mainly reflected in the fact that the PE teaching task is managed separately by the international exchange college and other departments.The PE teaching task is carried out randomly,the teaching staff level and ability are insufficient,the site equipment is insufficient,there are no special textbooks for international students,and the PE needs of international students cannot be met.Third,the lack of extracurricular sports activities for foreign students in Changchun.This is mainly reflected in the fact that there are few extracurricular sports activities organized by the school,and foreign students’ information about various sports and cultural activities on campus is blocked,which hinders their enthusiasm to participatein extracurricular sports activities.(2)From the perspective of cultural exchange,this paper proposes countermeasures for the development of physical education for foreign students in Changchun.It mainly includes: clarifying the guiding ideology of the curriculum,combining the physical education needs of foreign students,arranging the teaching content scientifically,compiling the physical education syllabus and textbooks reasonably for foreign students,and constructing characteristic physical education courses in combination with traditional national sports projects;Second,improve the management of physical education for foreign students.It mainly includes: improving the sports teaching management system for foreign students,appropriately increasing the scale of sports venues and facilities,strengthening the construction of teaching staff,carrying out characteristic campus sports and cultural activities,and constructing sports information service platform for foreign students.
