Culture establishes the world and prospers the country.Since entering the new era,China’s national economic strength and international influence have gradually increased.Under the diversified pattern of the world and the tense and changeable international situation,if Chinese culture wants to go out,it needs to meet challenges and seize opportunities.Accelerating the cultural exchange with other countries is an important way to implement the concept of human community.China must take a firm step towards the world of Chinese culture in the form of high cultural consciousness,cultural self-confidence and cultural renewal,and gradually enhance the international appeal of Chinese culture.As messengers of cultural exchanges between countries,foreign student education has become a new trend in the development of higher education in the world.With the help of educational means for foreign students to carry out Chinese folk sports and realize the exchange of folk sports culture with other countries,it can promote the international dissemination of China’s excellent folk sports culture and help to show the charm of Chinese culture to the world.Therefore,it is an important way to realize the cross-cultural exchange and development of China’s folk sports to investigate and analyze the learning needs of foreign students in China,create an impressionable learning environment for the foreign student camp,and explore the teaching means that the state and colleges and universities should adopt from the perspective of cultural exchange.This study uses the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview and mathematical statistics to analyze the cognition,interest differences and learning environment needs of foreign students in China through a sample survey of foreign students in Shanghai;This paper operationalizes the previous concept and theory of cultural exchange,constructs the folk sports cultural exchange scale,verifies the applicability of various folk sports scales,and constructs some intermediary models for the variables of folk sports cultural exchange,so as to explore how to solve the learning needs of foreign students to China’s folk sports from the root of cultural differences from the perspective of cultural exchange and realize the exchange of Chinese folk sports culture.After analysis and discussion,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Due to the lack of display channels,the cultural cognition of foreign students in China is low;Foreign students from some underdeveloped countries and regions such as Africa still have a low level of cultural cognition of China’s folk sports.(2)Foreign students in China have a strong interest in China’s folk sports;Whether they are sports majors or from different continents will not significantly affect the interest of foreign students in China in folk sports;With the support of the psychological vision of striving to be a "China expert",there is no obvious difference in the degree of learning interest among different types of folk sports.(3)The learning environment needs of foreign students in China are: after mastering the basic Chinese,the school offers them professional folk sports courses,and teachers teach in the classroom through the combination of cultural explanation and practical operation.(4)The cultural exchange of Chinese folk sports among foreign students in China can be reflected from three dimensions: cultural identity,cultural exchange and cultural adaptation;The constructed intermediary model of cultural exchange shows that cultural identity can have an intermediary effect on cultural adaptation through cultural exchange.(5)From the perspective of cultural exchange,the cultural identity,cultural exchange and cultural adaptation of foreign students to China’s folk sports will positively affect the learning needs of foreign students in China,and the degree of cultural adaptation is the most important factor affecting the learning needs of foreign students in China;The main manifestations of the learning needs of overseas production students in China are: they believe that there are many kinds of folk sports,which can help them understand Chinese culture and are eager to learn more folk sports.
