In the age of big data,the mass data and the new techniques of data process have carved out the way for historical research.To meet the demands of this age,history teachers should make full use of historical data in teaching.Meanwhile,the Ministry of Education required that every history teacher should help students cultivate the core literacy of the subject of history which embodied the values of educational function.I studied in this thesis how the historical data was used in the history textbooks of middle school,the examination and evaluation system and the teaching as well as how the application of historical data influenced the core literacy,adopting the methods of literature research,textbook analysis,case study and experience summary.I studied the merits that frequency of occurrence of historical data was high in the thesis.But the demerits were also obvious such as less chart data,no sources of data,lower availability and single presentation of data,etc.I thought that the teacher should transform the complex data to more readable chart data and design effective questions according to the teaching objectives,which made students learn the essence of data in order to cultivate the core literacy.I also studied how the historical data was applied in the academic level test and college entrance examination and that using historical data was one of the ways of researching history.As the result of students' being equipped with strong core literacy while explaining the data,teachers should lead students to understand the data in the process where they could acquire the crucial ability imperceptibly.I put emphasis on some teaching cases to probe into how the historical data influenced the cultivation of concept of time and space,concept of identifying the authenticity,concept of interpreting history.Applying historical data for explaining history could approach the truth.At the same time,the classroom teaching would be more scientific and rigorous if the teacher combined the quantitative research with the qualitative research.I also studied that teachers should put up effective data models and design suitable questions so as to make the historical data fit the teaching,taking some teaching cases as examples.In addition,I found out such matters that teachers should pay attention while applying historical data to the teaching as they must guarantee the authenticity and scope of application of data and could not expand the explanation of data groundlessly.The study of how the historical data was applied in the history teaching of middle school based on the core literacy was practically vacant.I expounded how the historical data was or should be utilized in the history textbooks of middle school,the examination and evaluation system and the teaching and how it used,impacted the cultivation of the core literacy.My final goal was to offer some referable suggestions that the thinking method of quantitative history was employed in the class.
