The senior high school curriculum reform has been popularized in Hunan province since 2010,the mathematics textbooks which are being used for senior middle schools in Hunan province is the A version of the new teaching materials of People's Education Press.Compared with the old version before,the new high school mathematics teaching materials changed a lot in many aspects.What is more prominent is that the ‘Brief Summary' in the new teaching materials changed much,both in structure and contents.Great changes have taken place.Textbook writers changed so much towards the ‘Brief Summary',what on earth is the purpose? What's the significance?Do the teachers and students understand the purpose of the textbook writers?Whether do they pay attention to the ‘Brief Summary' or not? How to deal with the ‘Brief Summary' towards the teachers and students? This master thesis is mainly aimed at the problems above.This paper mainly adopted the questionnaire survey which is used in Changsha X Middle School,Hengyang Y Middle School and Chenzhou Z Middle School in Hunan province,a total of 28 high school mathematics teachers and 689 high school students of the three schools have carried on the questionnaire survey.The questionnaire survey for teachers and students is respectively from the following aspects: Firstly,understanding about the role of the ‘Brief Summary';Secondly,cognition level of the ‘Brief Summary';Thirdly,how to deal with the‘Brief Summary';Fourthly,improvement suggestions for the ‘Brief Summary'.Using the software SPSS to analyze the dates from three middle schools is the paper'sinnovation.Collecting statistics of questionnaire through the software SPSS,we found that the teachers and students of the three schools in Hunan province gave insufficient emphasis to the role of the ‘Brief Summary',most of the students and teachers paid less attention to the ‘Brief Summary',in the meanwhile,rarely used the ‘Brief Summary'.Based on the results above,randomly selected 8 teachers and 20 students among the interviewees to continue the interview.The interview is mainly about the understanding that the teachers and students towards the ‘Brief Summary',the cause that the teachers and the students rarely focus on,also summarizing the cause of the contents that the teachers and students and the ‘Brief Summary' itself according to the results of the questionnaire and the interview,and also summarizing the proposals that teachers and students gave the ‘Brief Summary' of the teaching materials.Finding that teachers and students are more inclined to like the ‘Brief Summary' of the old version of high school mathematics teaching materials on the advice of the teachers and students.After that the paper generally analyzed the ‘Brief Summary' of high school mathematics teaching materials by using comparative research and literature analysis method,and made a list comparison between the structure and the contents of the ‘Brief Summary' of the two versions of the mathematics teaching materials,the emphasis is that we excavated the teaching value of the ‘Brief Summary' according to the comparative analysis.In order to explore how to develop the teaching value of the ‘Brief Summary',the paper then mainly put forward three teaching strategies about the ‘Brief Summary' according to the teaching practice during the internship.For example,it guides the students to make summary by themselves,guides the teachers to expand the ‘Brief Summary' part,uses comprehensiveproblems to do the ‘Brief Summary'.In addition,it applies these strategies to the teaching process according to the teaching practice.
