| Although the intellectual development of people with mental disorders is less advanced than the normal person, research at home and abroad shows that their physical development is the same as that of normal people. With the growth of age, they will also go through the process of adolescence, sexual development and sexual maturity. In this process,a series of behavioral problems related to people with intellectual disabilities will gradually emerge, such as exposing their private parts in public, touching their own or others' private parts, openly masturbating, embracing the opposite sex, speaking obscene words, etc. These sexual-related behavioral problems seriously affect their physical and mental health, individual development and social communication with others, cause classroom disruptions and influence teaching effect. Not only will parents and teachers face challenges and problems, but also people with mental disabilities will have more problems integrating into society. In order to explore the performance and causes of sexually-impaired people and sexual-related behavioral problems, and to seek intervention strategies for behavioral problems, and then to explore an ideal service model, this study will include 31 people aged 16 to 36 with intellectual disabilities in N City NX disabled care center. As an object of study, through interviews with five institutional teachers and five parents of mentally handicapped students,as well as the author's observations and records during the internship process of the institution, the daily performance and intervention status of sex-related behavioral problems among NX disabled care center were understood. The results of the study showed that the teachers and parents of the interviewed respondents all indicated that most of the common behavioral problems in the daily life of people with mental disabilities in the NX disabled care center are related to sex, mainly including inappropriate masturbation, naked or exposed body parts, curiosity and improper affection expression for the opposite sex Improper expression, etc. In response to these sexual-related behavioral problems, institutional teachers and parents often take measures such as verbal reminding, prevention, simple education, forced isolation, and avoidance, but most of the existing interventions are not effective. On this basis,it is necessary to further explore reasonable and effective intervention strategies.Since each student in the institution has different levels of mental disorders and different adolescent behaviors, and mentally disabled and autistic individuals have their own behavioral characteristics, different intervention methods need to be adopted according to their different behavioral characteristics. The intervention focus of the trainees is also not the same. Therefore, the author selects one female student with intellectual disabilities and one male student with autism who are more frequently involved in sex-related behavior problems as a typical case, and combines the basic conditions of the two cases to analyze the case and sexuality from the perspective of physiology, psychology,.and environment. The cause of the behavioral problem is the formulation of a detailed intervention plan.On this basis, the content of individualized sexual knowledge education is listed, and the combination of passive and active, intervention and prevention is achieved.Based on the results of the study, the author put forward his own opinions on the behavior of sexually-related misconduct related to mentally-impaired persons as"behavioral problems" or "problem behaviors," and proposed intervention services for people with mental disabilities related to sex.It is necessary to establish a service model from prevention to intervention, including the early implementation of gender education, the adoption of sand table therapy to capture the adolescent movements of people with mental disabilities, and proper sexual education in due course. |
